In my opinion, if not just because of long time waiting for ILR and housing issues in UK, I will always prefer UK to Canada. Canada will give you easy PR but even with the PR, it will still take many years to achieve your dream in your profession. UK ILR takes time but within those times you must have achieved what you want. Some people that relocated to UK as ordinary carer have become registered nurses even before they get their ILR. UK needs patience and at last you will be glad. The issue is that many people want it so fast. They prefer getting PR faster than growing in their profession. That's why they prefer Canada.

Build towns that are surrounded by walls give them a small space to live and build factories. Allow these people to have a small check and live and work in those small cities say in the middle of nowhere. Make them work for 1 year in those places and as long as they do good not crime and show up for work and take care of there living space then allow them to become citizens. That way you weed out the criminals and non hard workers. In 1 year you will have a good idea of who should be staying. Also its them paying for there spot and contributing to the us economy. I'm a Canadian citizen I came legally under Federal Skilled worker pathway. I had cancer and recently lost my eyesight due to slip and fall. I sponsored my nephew 2021 as I am alone in Canada. But as a taxpayer, it hurts ?why does it take too long for immigration to consider its own citizens. My nephew had his medicals in August 2022 and nothing from immigration up to now. They prioritize Ukraine and Syria over taxpayers citizens. Too unorganized and fake. Pretending to help people at war and calamities from other countries neglecting its own people who contribute to economy.?

You know what, I’m an immigrant too. I came to America in 1988 from a communist country to have a better life and have religious freedom. But it took us more than 5 years, if not more, to get approved and jump every hurdle, every flaming hoop, and else they asked us to do, BUT, WE DID IT! Why do people think it’s ok to be able to come here illegally when others have to Jump through hoops to get here? And the stupid fucks who think they should be allowed to do that shit, should be made to put em up in THEIR HOMES AND NOT ON THE TAXPAYERS DOLLAR! Period point blank!!!! My best friend started her immigration process in 2017. She was finally green lit to come to America in 2019 after marrying her long time husband over in Europe and then getting the paperwork done here in the US during that time Covid hit, and when they closed all the borders, they stopped all of the immigration process to America meaning that she was stuck in Europe away from her husband for three years. Finally last year after making her go back through the process getting all of her paperwork re-done, paying another $5000 she was able to come to the US just last month she got the start of her paperwork for her green card to work here in the US and become a full US citizen. It’s been a long process. It infuriates me that people like that who are honest, hard-working people who want to come to the US and start a life after being married, proven to have jobs and want to pay taxes and support a system. That’s willing to take them in get held up because of people like this want to come here illegally Big cause of whatever the reasons are trying to circumvent and skip over the people who are trying their hardest to do it the right way in the first place, dust dragging the system further down.

My work which is at a hotel just got a bunch of Puerto rican immigrants who are working and living at the hotel for free and they get paid and they treat all the other workers with disrespect and leave everything a mess and break rules constantly and can’t even talk to the managers and we’re all trying to be as understanding as we can be because I honestly can’t imagine going through immigration like that but still there’s no rules for them and meanwhile us other workers who are American and don’t get paid as much and don’t have the amenities that they do it’s just kind of a ridiculous situation in my opinion. There’s no structure or organization with it and it doesn’t make sense that we’re illegally transporting immigrants all over the us and giving them the free pass for most all things without even going through the legalization process.
