Where is the money coming from to find, secure, house for processing, and fly out 15 million people? That's going to be billions. And who will take the place of them in their jobs - farm work, food industry, food processing, etc?

Like....cleaning their own houses, digging their own gardens, mowing, working in meat processing plants etc. etc. etc.

Democrats should stay out of the deportation fight (getting rid of criminals is fine), but let MAGA and the business community fight it out. Obama deported many people, but it never significantly harmed the economy. If Trump carries out his plan, we will reach a critical mass where there won't be enough people to pick the crops, work in the meat processing industry, hospitality, construction, etc. Costs will rise significantly, and we will experience shortages.

Cool. A well thought out plan. So, when you start deporting workers who work in agriculture and meat processing, and the only solution is to raise wages or slow production, this is going to be immediately inflationary. In about a year, the prices at the grocery stores and at fast food restaurants are going to be significantly higher. Combined with the inflationary tariffs, this will cause a recession. \n\nIf you voted for Trump because of high inflation, the next few years are going to be confusing.

It's just painful that you were some kind of elites back in home country, went through a hell of a process and paper work to get yourself citizenship, and other under-educated can just come here legally, spend your tax money and get it? The only people in the United States who are not immigrants or descendants of immigrants are Native American Indians. We also have a law that justly provides safe harbor for immigrants seeking refugee protection because they are fleeing their country of origin due to persecution, violence, victimization, etc. It is morally correct to receive them here without any mistreatment or demonization. It is prejudicial, inhumane, and unlawful to turn them away or deport them. Is the administrative system and process inefficient or faulty? YES, obviously. That's not an excuse to be derelict in our duty. Our obligation is to fix whatever is lacking or broken in our system, so that it functions properly, fairly, and rapidly, for anyone seeking either asylum, or ordinary immigration processing and approval.

What did Trump accomplish on immigration in four years? No immigration legislation passed, no border fence built like he promised, no improvement to the long legal process of accepting/rejecting people, and no mass deportations.... The main jobs that undocumented people do are farm workers, construction, meat processing and elderly care. They do these jobs for minimum wage (sometimes for less). Are MAGA Americans ready to do these jobs for minimum wage? Whose going to pick our fruits & veggies? Process our meat? Build our homes & replace our roofs? Who's going to take care of grandma? If deportation happens, get ready to pay more for food & have severe labor & food shortages.

We have a legal system in place for one million legal immigrants a year, this is simple, if we need five million immigrants, let them in here through the legal process we already have in place. I worked in Criminal Court (NYC Metro area) for many years. We always checked for Immigration Holds on those who were arraigned in our courts. How it plays out is that INS would take a long time to appear where detainee was. Court (local w/ separate budget) wants to process the case quickly just like the local jail want to discharge because it cost money to keep people locked up. If INS is not fast enough to appear the people are released.

It won't happen, it will cost too much and the courts will tie up the process.
