You have no idea how much Canada wastes its human talent. Educated immigrants get wasted or lost in the system and walk away.

Unfortunately it is not true that a majority of the Indians are highly qualified. To be honest many of the Indian students here have poor communication skills and questionable qualifications. What is needed is a more careful selection process. I know of some Indians who are highly trained well educated and an asset to Canada especially in the health and tech fields. At the same time I see many who are not able to pass basic language tests let alone professional examinations.

I am from Chennai, India, living and working in the USA. These students knew quite well that Fraud was committed in their visas. They do not come for Education; instead, they look for work in Canada, then higher wages in Canada, and better freebies from the Canadian government.

Americans need to focus solving their problems and mind their own business. \n\nTry working on your gun crimes and school shooting problem.\nTry fixing your homelessness problems.\nTry addressing the mass murder by health insurance companies.\nTry fixing your subpar education system.

Individuals from India often enroll in short, diluted, and overpriced postgraduate diploma programs designed primarily to attract indian foreigners. These programs serve as stepping stones to secure student visas and, eventually, local jobs. While many return home after a few months without success, those who secure jobs often refuse to assimilate. Instead, they create workplace tensions to drive out the locals, and once they got onto managerial positions, often conduct preferential hiring towards people of their own ethnicity / village. \n \nThis trend must stop. \n\n1. Someone who has a desired skill, and are ready embrace other cultures, should apply work visa. \n2. Someone who is a scholar, or geniunely wishes to study in foreign university, should apply student visa. \n3. Someone who is a mediocre opportunist who wants a quick backdoor to a job or permanent residency in other country, should not disguise themselves as a student. \n \n\nNot that hard.

Majority of them accept jobs that do not require much education.

They need to come in legally like everyone else has been doing for years! This is a crime of lawlessness! We have people coming in that cannot speak English, are not educated, skilled and come in with sickness! This needs to stop! Many are criminals that enter our country and become nothing but a financial burden. Our country is not safe anymore and our families suffer!

That's an enormous shift in a very short period of time. In the US very divwrse large-scale immigration has been a well estblished pattern. Canad shifted from heavily Northern European immigration in modest numbers to enormous asian immigration in a few decades. It also seems that Canada taking educated, skilled migrants from countries with thriving middle class populations

A student who does not know how to apply to an educational institution or identify whether he really got an admission but is dependent on a consultant deserves deportation in case of fraud.

Both Canada and the U.S. have moved to a higher educated work force. Much of the repetative manufacturing we used to have has been outsourced, yet we are letting in millions of low skilled workers. What are they going to do?

Make it easier for migrants by: clear requirements for entering the USA. Education, Job experience requirements, shorter periods for application and a two or three tier process which will quicken the application process. \n\nLong waiting periods engender illegal entries, frustrating applicants and causing many to make risky decisions.

I am a Canadian Citizen, have undergone four surgeries, live with one kidney, and graduated from college in Accounting and Finance in Canada. I pity myself that I have been doing general labor in a warehouse for over three years now. Despite many vacancies, I keep getting rejected! In the warehouse where I currently work, three of the four Accountants are on work permits, and they have no education in Canada!

It's not true to say education is free in Canada. Unlike the UK, in Canada every year we have to pay a contribution to school fees. Noon supervision fee, exam fees, fees for sports clubs, materials fee. It mounts up if you have a few kids. This came as a surprise to me when moving to Canada. In UK employees get much more paid vacation time from employers. I'd say life can be better in the UK in terms of work life balance but I think Healthcare is better in Canada although it can be expensive if you have no insurance for things such as dental care.

Recently we made such decision to move to Canada after 13 years my muallaf Canadian husband was not arround but he got very shock once he is back there and at day 2 being there we aborted our plan and being so grateful how wonderful our life was indonesia (our freedom as muslim no comparison here, mosques at every kilometer, the cultures deep binding according to our religion, have so many options for islamic educations schools and living cost very cheap here no comparison!)and will continue to live there entire our life inshaAllah.

The high costs of wifi have been directly connected towards the failure in accessing education in rural aboriginal communities especially in the Arctic and can be directly connected to the federal govt’s failure to address the issue. Rents and forget about buying a house in BC, AB, Quebec, Ontario. High unemployment, Inflation is high and going up more. Investors and businesses are pulling out. Canada is trillions in debt but keep printing more money (toilet paper). Canada has gone downhill significantly over the past ten years. Born Canadians and legit immigrants having to go through a rigorous immigration process are very unhappy and cause conflict. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. You were promised an education and allowed to work TEMPORARILY. Its pretty simple really

They make it extremly difficult, no workers in health care, but they must have a B2 to Start with anything, who has 2 years yo pay for a course and doing nothing else before getting a Job?. Plus, there is not a clear way to Integration, after getting education, working 6 years and paying all taxes, NO answer for a citizenship aplication in 7 months, you can not even ask because the oficces are full of work. In me meanwhile you can not even changed your job. So, an effort that the country makes more and more difficult. You get a Job sure, but that is it, if you want to live in jail for many years do so. Because is how it feels.

Vancouver resident here - I live a couple blocks away from a college, and can confirm that the student populace not only exploded but is almost exclusively Indian and it wasn’t gradual. \n\nPersonally, this seems to be the most egregious of it because aside from the sheer numbers, they don’t seem to be making the area any less safe or being a nuisance. And at those numbers, they patronize nearby businesses, helping the local economy. Can’t complain about that.\n\nHome prices have been out of control for decades, and so have hospital wait times - these are Canadian problems for which the Indians are merely a recent contributor (if at all). \n\nThe issues Canadians are facing from the influx of Indian seeking education and/or PR’s are under the jurisdiction of Canada’s Trudeau government - a group that is facing deep criticism amongst Canadians. They are now trying to placate us by walking back over the Indians they welcomed here in the first place. \n\nAnd that action subsequently (though not intentionally) gives justification for Canada’s most deplorable citizens to place blame on said Indians and discriminate freely. \n\nHaving said that, the main issue Vancouver locals have that is that (once again due to the Trudeau government) we seem to have imported a violent form of Indian politics that cause blood to be spilled on our streets - I don’t know the details between the sides, just want that sh!t shut down. I would love to see the Canadian and Indian governments cooperate to remove violent activists from our streets.
