I moved to Australia from Canada over 20 years ago. After the draconian lockdowns and being forced out of my job by j mandates, I've wanted to get the hell out of this country. Since Labor won all state elections and the federal election, things have taken a serious downturn. It's a big clown show. The state government here in Victoria, home of Dictator Dan, has racked up such a colossal debt that there's just no way out of it. They're raising taxes and making up new ones as the go along into the abyss. There's nothing here but a big real estate bubble and when it pops, there will be tent cities all over the place. The government created the problem just like in Canada. They increased the population by 1.6% in ONE SINGLE YEAR with immigration and now there's not enough housing to meet demand. The lockdowns took all my savings and a chunk of my superannuation to just survive, and I was robbed of over a year of earnings by the government. I've been stuck in this massively over-priced hovel for 3 years longer than I had planned and now would be lucky to even be in the top 20 picks for a rental, at twice the price. It's only a matter of time before the job market implodes due to business closures and the all around terrible climate in which to start new business. I want out, but the prospect of returning to Canada is beyond depressing. Everything that drove me out of Canada in the first place is 10x worse now. My other alternative is UK but I don't feel like going to prison for liking memes about Keir Starmer on Facebook, so UK is out of the question. Not to mention that it's economically doomed and has a worse healthcare system than Canada. There are lines around city blocks to get into a GP clinic.

I’m a Korean American who has lived here my entire life since birth. I have lived in many other places and the thing about immigrants is they ALWAYS share the same traits wherever they go. \nI live in an affluent area and whenever the immigrants from poor countries come in they all do the same things…throw trash and litter everywhere, the attitude of “I made it just like you therefore I deserved to be treated like a king”..telling them to turn down the music at 2am and not understanding why so instead you are met with argumentative resistance instead of them just saying “hey we’re sorry won’t happen again, we don’t want to be that guy in this neighborhood. Our apologies” but nope. They continue to do it night after night and the audacity to even get angry. The crowding of all of their families in disrepspectful ways such as cutting in line while everyone else is patiently waiting, if there is free samples of food, they will group up and annihilate whatever they are offering not even caring about anyone else but their own. Leaving a very bad image for us East Asians when people from the red flag dragon nation come in droves. Being extremely loud in public while talking about petty nonsensical things most times but they yell and laugh not caring whoever else is around. Even if the room is quiet they have zero situational awareness, never putting things back when they grab them from stores or gym etc. they expect someone to pickup and do this for them. The entitlement ?….if something is on sale they don’t understand to take just one or two, they have to take the entire box so no one else can get it. \nI his list never ends and they don’t understand why people don’t want them living in their countries. It’s not just Germany it’s everywhere. \nHow do you expect people to like you when you make it difficult to do so.

We're heavily taxed and little to show for it with a worsening health care system, a decaying infrastructure including terrible roads, worsening crime and a mis-managed, corrupt Government trying to find even more ways to take more of our money.

migrant moving here presume no degree, start from scratch take 4 years minimum to get a degree and have to work 2 jobs while at it just to barely scrape by. once u graduate, u be lucky to even land a government jobs that pay 50000-60000 a year. mean while a house cost 1.5 million on average and a 1 bed condo starts at 600000 to 700000. by the time u save enough down payment, u will be in ur 30s, and by the time u finished with the mortgage u r well into ur 50s or 60s. while everything is expansive as shit here, migrant can actually have a much more easier life and cheaper path way to a home. specially those coming from india or south east asia, why bother lol.

I'm certain nobody will agree with me - but why is part of the problem in the west; people get their reality from the MSM - but if I were you I would go back to Russia. The East is the future; the west is heading straight off a cliff. The only way IMO that you can be reasonably safe from that anywhere in the west is if you are completely self sufficient - and debt free - living MILES from other people - or in a likeminded community - where you are prepared to defend yourself from whats coming. I am in such a situation in NZ and even I am ready to bolt; in my case either to a small south pacific island or maybe Thailand - who are joining BRICS and therefore completely isolated from the impending western economic/social disaster. Being in Russia of course means the whole of Asia is easily open to you as well - but makes sense also because you have a history there. I would love to live in Russia - it is now normal - the people HAVE A SAY in everything - compared to the abnormal west which is now the new Soviet Union. Sad but undenyable - if you face facts.

Canada has no functional method for dealing with corruption. No practical way to correct itself. In a few days a gang of nearly 10,000 people who make-no... extract, 100k to 150k each per year, will most likely go on strike shutting down rail throughout the country because the rail companies can't find enough people willing to join a union mafia and you have no right to work for them if you don't join it. There is no real remedy because Canadians have been raised to be cowardly fools incapable of reason and effective action. Also, our prisons are there to torture with solitary confinement anyone who tries to make real progress for society, and the media is at the ready to call them racist, sexist, Far-Right extremists, and half the country will believe that. Every single organization of any scale in this country is corrupt beyond recognition in terms of how they define themselves and how they actually behave. Doctors don't even have training in nutrition or understand how meal-timing affects metabolic health, but they can have a brain-damaging prescription in your hands within 30 seconds. This country is cooked.

I'm not judging, I just think you're being way too politically correct. Even as a post graduate, which also bring a larger and better spectrum of opportunities in quantity and quality, you realized that the situation in Canada is so bad that it's better for you to move somewhere else. I'm saying you're being too politically correct because it does not properly depict the reality of the majority of Canadians, which are not post graduate and who do not have the same level of opportunities and it's even worst for them... Canada have become bad enough for you that you decided to move elsewhere, but it's so bad for them that they can't even afford to leave... Imagine how terrible that is ! That's the reality of Canada right now.

Leaving may solve your problems but only for very short time, because whatever place you end up in, it may be no better, and good deal worse, since you won't be a citizen there. Remember too, that Europe and US are all afflicted with the same WOKE, antidemocratic malady destroying Canada. The only sure way to improve situation is by staying, standing up and fighting (legally, and non violently if possible) for what you believe. Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Germany is currently too focused on other countries problems and failed on attending the needs of their citizens and the citizens who came to live here, including europeans, as myself. I truly believe that Germany is a beautiful country, München is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and has astonishing landscapes and vibrant nature. But...

Somehow Poland accepted Ukrainian refugees with open arms. And why yes, some commit crimes and behave in unbecoming ways but vast majority learned to speak polish,work polish jobs and uphold cultural and social norms. Having lived in migrant-rich places in UK and Scandinavia, this is simply not the case with migrants from Islamic countries. Their culture, heavily influenced by religion, doesn't have the same values, promotes seclusion from unbelievers and using unbeliever's resources at will because they see non-muslims as beneath them.There are Muslim women in Sweden who are there for 20+ years and speak NONE of the language. The epidemic of sexual abuse , property crime and gang violence, the statistics about learning the language, culture, statistics about employment, even personal interviews are good enough proof that majority of these migrants aren't willing to uphold our rules, our culture and are NOT going to be suitable citizens of Europe. Why should we be paying for people who gleefully admit to not wanting to work and feeling entitled to social benefits? Only France and UK were colonial empires, the rest of Europe had NOTHING to do with the state of Middle East.\nWe sympathise with people wanting to escape from religious fundamentalism, from fear of retribution for their identity and there are separate programmes for them. However we have every right not to want Islam and it's rules and it's fanatics anywhere close - religion is a remnant of the middle age and religious fundamentalism, be it Christian of Muslim is nothing more than an excuse to be hateful and bigoted. Europe has worked hard to free itself from that kind of mentality, to have majority of people who genuinely believe in things like gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, disabled rights, right to healthcare, equality under law and so on - vast majority of which are not compatible with what vast majority of practicing Muslims believe. They don't like us, they don't like the way we behave and dress, they don't want to live like us and follow the same rules- why are they here if not for the resources? If they were there for human rights issues, they wouldn't be bringing the opressive faith that is the source of the human rights violations in their homeland.

At the end of the day this is about governments defying the will of their peoples. It's not even that these countries' peoples dont want immigrants. It's that they get no say one way or another. Couple that with the fact that western governments are also trying to erase their own peoples' culture and ancestral history and yes, we're going to be fucking pissed.

Justin Trudeau and the liberals have destroyed this Country. I was born and raised in Canada in a town in Ontario along one of the Great Lakes Lake Erie. My parents and even their parents were born and raised in that same area I am from and Canada was a great place but since Justin Trudeau become PM everything started to change and not in a slow unnoticeable way it was fast. Drugs and homelessness started to become a thing something I have never seen in my life and even my neighbourhood and town started to change too with people that don't speak english and wait times in the ER started to be so much longer and even finding a doctor when I moved to the city was impossible to get. I have not traveled much only in a car or truck and never been on a airplane but I am considering moving out of Canada too. I am going to wait and see what happens in the election and see if things begin to charge before I leave the only place I know and start new somewhere else. I have been thinking of Southeast Asia like Laos or Thailand because there Canadian funds are worth something and you can live and at for very cheap and get a very nice place for half or less of what rent is here.

I see alot of doom and gloom. But Canada is still one of the best countries to live in. Alot of Millenials and Gen Z think that becuase we are born in this country we are entitled to certain standards of living without sacrifice. You have to live below your means. You have to be willing to relocate to a part of Canada that may be looked down upon by others. You have to be willing to start at the ground floor of a company and work your way up ecrimimentally even if you\n just start out by cleaning toilets. Immigrants come to Canada without a dime to their name yet become millionaires through hardwork amd determination. You have to find a partner that is willing to sacifice too and stick with them through the ups and downs. Love and challenge your children to be better. Live below you means and invest the difference. You have to be patient this will not come over night but in decades and if you continually build little by little you will suceed. You can do it. Dont submit to stormy seas.

Everyone should move to any place that value them the most. Your mom did it and it's the best decision for her and you so you should do the same (while you can).\nThe psychopaths who rule the government know this hence they use reverse psychology to make the population feel like the people owe something to them (the country, like it's a living being, while it's just a place) with the nationalism bs. I mean, you come to a country and you have to adjust and learn the language. Pretty straightforward, and most of us are doing it.\n\nBut when on the other side you have people who do not understand the effort and have no patience for it, it is a frustrating experience. It is also annoying that you know they need you here, they know they need you, but none of that is reflected in the way people coming in are treated.\n\nA lot of us also come with skills and accomplishments behind us. And then we need to play fish-out-of-water for a while, speak a language in which we know we sound incompetent and we can see someone underestimating us (because they lack the understanding of what our situation brings). And last but not least, a serious problem with patience and empathy.\n\nThese are all issues you will find in other countries too. But man, Germans are not good at dealing with it. And more and more it seems to me they do not even care (other than the few german friends I have, who always make me second guess my generalisation).

People here are complaining about the need to communicate in German even when they are high skilled professionals who speak good or excellent English (?). Just wonder how it is the other way round: is it possible for an innovator/highly professional worker to find a well paid job in the USA or Canada just with weak or mediocre language skill in English but with excellent/good skills in some other languages? Are other languages appreciated in English speaking countries when it comes to salary or position?\nSomehow I doubt it.\nYet there are highly paid special workers in the industry (mining, building) that actually do not have so good language skills but can their job.

It's bad someone gets treated this way . But the real question is why these people are going to the country whose Ideology is totally opposite of their. These people first enter all Europe begging for mercy , crying , then after reaching certain good size population they started to blackmail , threaten even use violence against there Host , There are hundreds of Riot reports all over Europe. Why can't they all take refuge to there same faith neighborhood. They started wars in there own country burnt it ground then they are coming for your homes . Soon you will be burning...

I don't know about other professions but my nephew, who is just a first-year nurse here in the U.S. earns way, way more than what was described here. And even if healthcare isn't free for him, the cost is minimal thanks to a union-negotiated contract. He is very happy with his career choice.

That's fucked up and it makes really freaking mad. I worked so many years and over times for what. I got chronicly ill didn't work for 3 years and got SSI and I don't even get $900 dollars. Migrants just walk over and get $1,400 WTF I'm a citizen who came here legally and paid my way ? I have nothing against migrants but darn you get all those benefits why then give them so much money. They need to do what Canada does with migrants. No wonder the migrants there eventually work and have stability. The USA needs to take a class on this.

I wished to move to Canada 12 years ago. I am American. I was told that I needed a job and that job NEEDED to be filled. This would allow me to move there. I didn't move. Now with the migration crisis, too many immigrants at one time will overload the system and overpopulate a country. I fear with the climate crisis constantly reshaping our futures, that immigration will be an ongoing problem for the entire world. I believe countries must plan for even more immigration waves due to climate change. The Earth is changing...people will be moving to save their lives, to have a future. As human beings we must adapt to these pressures and changes in our planet. Make it livable, or else face the consequences of seeing millions of people die because you were unwilling to open your borders. There is room, just get rid of the greed. This planet , its peoples,must find ways to live together. Education, to keep the planet healthy, stop overpopulation, keep the air and water clean...stop the greed are the goals we must strive to follow.

40 to 50 hours a week? I work that in Australia as an Australian. Indian universities aren't necessarily recognised overseas. Even then I've worked with many as engineers and got uber rides from many just as an example. Different cultural system. This is just my personal experience. \n\nYou have to remember that India has been studied as on of the most intolerant countries in the world. I've never got that impression from the majority of other nationalities I've worked with. Even had and engineer quit on his first ay because he couldn't accept another Indian as his superior. ?‍♂️ why?\n\nIm just saying. You can look up the worldwide studies that rank India so high for intolerance easily. These are large surveys. \n\nEnd of the day when you have large immigration spikes without infrastructure it is doomed and you will get a lot of misplaced hatred towards immigrants as low to middle class locals rents/ house prices explode. Not to mention the low skilled jobs that immigrants will do cheaper. \n\nImmigration is a cheap way for developed countries to increase GDP. Without planning and proper direction it will always fail on the whole. \n\nIm happy to debate my opinion with anyone. We all need a better approach.

And Canada is way larger than the UK. Unchecked immigration and immigration in general is not ok, especially where infrastructure has not developed enough to cope with even reasonable immigration. UK is facing the same/similar problems. The fact that this is happening in many Western countries suggests there’s an agenda. Either that or the authorities are incompetent. I stand with you Canadian people. With love, hope and peace from the UK.

In my experience, there has always been a feeling in Canada against immigrants. This is generally among the working class. \n\nIn the early 1990s I was doing a lot of work in Canada for a US tech company. I am an American, by the way. One time I was working with a Chinese Canadian engineer, who worked for the client company. We went to the loading dock to check on the equipment from my company, which had just arrived. The native Canadian loading dock workers were openly making racist slurs about the Chinese engineer, right in front of him. He was very careful not to respond. I asked him about it later, and he just waved it off. This was in the Toronto area. I was also warned about Chinese who were involved in organized crime in the city. Then, a few days later I saw it in downtown Toronto. Two Chinese men in a Mercedes had stopped on the road and pulled a woman out of the car and started threatening her. It was a tense situation. \n\nOften it is the government types that welcome the immigrants, for various reasons. Canada does indeed have a demographic problem. \n\nThis is not the 19th and early 20th century in Canada or the US or Europe. Today we have extensive social safety nets. This means taxpayer dollars. In the earlier times the immigrants had to fend for themselves. Even then, there would be feelings against the immigrants. At least in the US it was a time of rapid economic and geographic expansion. Not so anymore.

These people choose Islam and sharia law and everything that comes with it.thats exactly why their countrys are the way they are, exactly why they're in the position they're in and despite the consequences of their choices,they keep choosing Islam and even demanding sharia law within the new nations that take them in, just turning the new countrys that take them in into the same mess that they're running from.so the ultimate problem is they're not learning the lesson because 1 they're not ready to learn it yet and 2 western nations keep saving them from it.the lesson is if thay feel that sharia law is so great compared to democracy then they should be forced to stay right there in it.they made they're sharia law bed now they should lay in it

As a person that grew up around Muslims and have Muslims in my family, the Middle East has never gotten along with each other way before the west came to that region. I been living in el pasonfor 8 years now. And when I first moved here I barely ever seen vagrants or homeless people. During covid it was a ghost town downtown. And now you drive down town it's 100 homeless illegals on every single corner and 40 in between the central park down town can't even see the grass cause so many illegals are camped out shitting on the street and in the bushes. Crime shot up by 300% in just 14 months. It's about to get wild here in the states because millions more illegals are on the way as I typed this

Think it's more the massive volume of immigration to Canada that has people becoming concerned. Immigration for decades has been one-way --- into Western nations. Entire communities, cities and even regions have changed demographically so much, in such a short period of time.
