Trump wants to sow discord between the people of Canada and the people of America, aiming to make them hate each other, so that he can then attack Canada and seize it. Trump admires Putin because, like Putin, he believes that the strong can do whatever they want, while the weak must obey! But what else would you expect from a country where slavery was once considered normal, from a country that exterminated millions or even billions of Indigenous people just to take their land? Of course, over time, things have changed — people have become smarter and started to value life — but Trump belongs to that ancient caste of Americans whose IQ is around 20–50...

Again 10% tariffs vs 25% tariff. if a country with a net deficit puts 25% tariffs on the net credit trader, and the net credit puts on 25%, the net deficit profits substantially overall, they collect more tariffs, consumers just buy local, so more national business growth etc. i.e. canada is screwed, the us does well out of this. if the us put on 100% tariffs on canada, that country would go bankrupt, and the us would be fine.
