Sorry to dissapoint those looking fo greener pastures but our world is in an incredibly difficult situation, not just Canada. Earth cannot support eight billion people for an extended period of time and it is soon to be nine billion. Many have seen this coming for decades. I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. I will live for many years to come but definitely not spending my whole life here due to many circumstances and expenses. Family values are getting killed and I have issues with that. The more I was pushed to change the more I went to church and believed in old fashioned traditional values. As you said I will always be grateful for what I made but working hard for two jobs in the last 20 years I would make that somewhere else too. Canada has changed too much since I came that's for sure. What triggers me the most fake approach when ppl say I make 100k wow then you didn't get that, that is only on the pay stub. how much did you get 50k that is the real money then you need to add deductions house tax this tax, sewage, water it comes less and less and then you realize that in reality you make more but you spend so much more with less quality of life. who cares how much you make the question is how do you live with the amount that you make.?

I was born in Moldova. Brought to Canada against my will while a teenager. Got married in Canada. My kids were born and grew up in Canada, one graduated high school already in Canada and the other one is in grade 10. \nI got a career at TD that I gave up in Canada. Few years ago before quiting my job I told my wife I'm done with Canada.\nI was lucky that moldovans due to historical events before WW2 are allowed to resore their Romanian citizenship and I did that. My kids by law had to restore their EU citizenship as well. \nRight now I'm in Romania and I'm in the process of selling everything in Canada and bringing my wife and kids over. \nIt was the best decision of my life. It's such a breath of fresh air to see that people can live a normal life with normal taxes and life values. \nFor those who are behind, if you have means and ways to move just run while it's not too late. Life is one and don't waste it on corrupt politicians that from boredome and easy money only have one wish: to enslave you mentally, physically and financially. Run while you can.

Too old for that now. \n I spent four months in the mountains of northern Thailand, and two months in and around Siem Reap, Cambodia. Decided on Cambodia. Wonderful place. It has its problems, but improving. A single westerner can live a simple life there on $700 U.S. a month as long as you don’t waste your money. I have at least $1200 a month available, so no problem. A very comfortable and secure life. \n Tropical…so no heating bills…and no snow to shovel. \n Cambodia is also central to the area……easy bus trips to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam when you want to visit those places. Not too long a flight if you want to visit India and Sri Lanka. \n I’ll fly out again this spring, 2025…..and this time I won’t be back. Bye bye Canada ✈️ ?? ?? ? ? ? ?? ☸️ ?

This is so sad to watch. I'm an Aussie in Sydney who worked in Calgary for 10 years between 2004 and 2014. Watching your country deteriorate like this at the hands of your glorious leaders is gut wrenching. The spread of wasting humanity across North America as the legalisation of drug use (+ other socialist policies) is taking hold bends my mind. We also have unattainable house prices here for many, but we don't have the large scale social devastation (yet). Good luck in your journey - can't imagine how tough this is for you and your family. We don't need any more people here, unless those people are highly skilled professionals in high demand - like doctors. The majority of people here are struggling, housing is unaffordable and in short supply, our health care system is a complete joke, inflation is out of control in parity to wage increases, and the liberal administration is incompetent, corrupt and wasteful.

Go to english speaking countries, rest are waste of time

It's a waste of time learning German as an adult skilled worker through language schools. Most of the world speaks English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish so working in the UK, France, Portugal, and Spain as skilled workers is more economical than working in Germany. Germany should learn from Benelux and Scandinavian countries by adopting English as its working language in the civil service and private businesses instead.

The problem with all these anti immigration movements is that sometimes they label ALL immigrants the same. Some people go here because their education is wasted in their home country, some people even prepare to avoid the culture shocks, or already have family living there. Filter out the bad ones, don’t close entirely.

Canada is a human resource waste land. I have seen people with hi tech skills come to Canada and end up opening bakeries. If the economy is growing fast and creating jobs, everything else falls into place. I know, what I am about to say isn't easy to swallow. Because I also understand how prevailing sentiments of fear are, when it's easier to blame another group for our shortcomings. Statistics show that half of the new immigrants in the photo op at the end will have voluntarily left Canada within the next 5 -10 years. Many to the US, and most of the rest back to their home countries, as they will find that Canada is not a place to come to to get ahead. Canada is over-hyped for sure. I know, I came to Canada and then left after 10 years to the US, where opportunities are far, far better. Save yourselves a decade of wasted time and come to the US straight away.

Zero-net population growth or very slow growth is desirable for a host of reasons. Immigration is not inherently a virtue. Not inherently a vice either. Its value depends entirely upon the context in which it is taking place. Here are some reasons why Canada should reduce immigration to achieve eventual zero-net population growth.\n\n(1) The ecology: Canada is possibly the world's worst country per capita in producing waste – certainly among the worst. (a) As of now we have a population of 40 million. At its present rate of growth our population will reach 50 million in 2041. This will require a 20% reduction in waste production per capita simply to keep waste production at the present level. This reduction will not happen. (b) In addition, freshwater resources cannot be expanded at all, really (desalinization can only produce a drop in the bucket). Hence, look for shortfalls in water availability. (c) From a global perspective, it is the rich countries, such as Canada, that pollute the most, both absolutely and on a per capita basis. Therefore rich countries should not increase their populations. Immigrants do not come to rich countries to be better ecologists than the citizens of those countries. Immigrants to Canada want to live like Canadians, as Canadians. The problem here is not that they will not assimilate to Canadian ways, but that they will. \n\n(2) Housing: with 500,000 new immigrants a year, housing starts cannot keep pace. The result: ever-inflating housing costs. Rich immigrants compound the problem. \n\n(3) Suburbanization: most of the new housing in Canada is in highway suburbs (over 80%), with their car-driven way of life. Once again, this is bad for the country’s ecological health. In addition, the result will be ever-growing geographies of nowhere. We will not be creating more Victorias or Quebec Cities. We will be creating more Surreys. \n\n(4) Downward pressure on the incomes of most people: the law of supply and demand is very simple: when there is a surplus of any commodity, that commodity becomes cheaper. When a commodity is scarce, its value rises. Labor is a commodity. Workers rightly do not want there to be a surplus of labor. Their livelihoods are threatened. \n\n(5) Future care of the old: the more people we add now, the more people we will have to take care of later, when their working lives are done. Adding immigrants now to pay for the care of the old is therefore a pyramid scheme. Eventually, in a generation or two, the population of the world is set to decline, and the well of immigrants will run dry. Canada should aim for fewer, rather than more, retirees – as preparation for that coming moment.

I'm Canadian. Canada isn't the same anymore. Everyone is basically broke right now, no onr can find work, and if you can, you still won't be making enough to keep up with inflation. Canada is way overrated. I've spent so many years living there and now I am back in my country of birth. I regret immigrating to Canada 20 years ago. All those years that I've spent living in Canada I consider as waste of time. It turns out that I can make more money in my country of birth than in Canada. And it's safer than Canada. Western countries like Canada or US are just overhyped.

Many, many, many years ago I recall when they expanded Hwy 401 through Toronto and everyone was saying how much of waste it was to have such a large Hwy. Look at it now. It’s called urban planning and your politicians are directly responsible. There should never be a problem with immigration as long as planning is done appropriately. As a Filipino watching the economy of USA from afar, I think that no other politician has shown significant concern to help its economy except for Trump. He's pretty bold and not scared to voice out issues that make the democrats uncomfortable. It is not for me to decide who others will vote. However, I see a leader in Trump and he's not afraid to fight back. It's only a matter of time for the Chinese to create its own microchips that are of novelty and prestige. Their economy is of course stagnant as of the moment because many foreign companies pulled out from China. Nevertheless, do you think it's going to be forever? They will cope and soon establish theirs given their population and government financial backing. Trump was right to put trade war against them to regulate foreign trade as it did with Japan. All countries will suffer when the dollar loses the international prestige. It is fastly losing it's international reputation as of these days. If this won't halt, imagine a future where the Chinese RMB will be the basis of international trade. You don't know the real plan of the Silk Road guys. Americans are conquerors and we have adjusted with their ways already. And, the Chinese are conquerors as well. Their goal is to really surpass the USA. The rise of China has benefited every ASEAN member, but greatly the former than the latter. We can adjust with their ways. However, America and Europe may not be that ready to adjust their ways for them should they surpass USA. The USA has become complacent and too liberal where individual rights, although important, have gone too far-fetched. This has created entitled individuals who think they own the world. Now, look at the Chinese. While most young Americans are busy dancing in TikTok and the likes of wasting time for entertainment, most young Chinese are studying hard and upskilling. Let's remember that America became great because of its inventions and extremely the nuclear power. Without great minds, minds that are feebled by drugs and misguided philosophies, a society will crumble. USA can use its weapons and influences against other countries, but can it hold the progress of it's rival economy for the rest of the years? You guys need a leader who is competitive and won't back down from a fight. As of these days, given only two political candidates to choose for presidency, I dare say that Trump has a higher bidding for the goodness of USA. Of course he wasn't able to accomplish his plan before after you guys impeached him. How the hell can a leader complete its plan after being halted unprecedentedly amid his administration? Kamala Harris looks promising but not convincing. Aura, although unquantifiable, do speak something. Choose your leader and it will choose your fate. Let's hear what the two sides will share this upcoming debate. If I'm American, whoever wins that debate, wins my heart. As easy as that. You see, if someone can be defeated so easily in his or her country through debate, do you think that whoever that someone who wins will be able to compete globally?
