I bet Azzizzi is eyeballing Southern California like so many other ex-Iranians, but even here, high COL is getting worse

Probably because he couldn't get freebies. Go to California

Looks a little like a Canadian version... of open borders we see in California and Texas!

Canada has become the California of North America

I was born in California and moved to Canada - gave up my American Citizenship and became a Canadian Citizen - I would never live anywhere else

You guys are perfectly describing exactly what’s going on in California.

I feel so much better about living in California now.

Do not go to California. Governor Newsom has destroyed it. NYC and Chicago, no Bueno!

Unfortunately these degradation of major cities are everywhere. Lived in California all my life and very disappointed how it’s become. Toronto is becoming San Francisco/ Los Angeles, if not there already. High cost on everything = high homelessness =high crimes. ??

Same thing in California, a lot more people moving out than move in. Population decrease. I think the main reason is a lot of bad policies from government. Not only high tax or homeless problem. But decriminalized criminal.\nIn Canada I believe your government destroying your country from inside.\nTo much social program free stuffs make hard working honest citizens life like a slave, of course immigrants from shith**l countries love all free stuffs and they got their votes in return to keep them in power.

Maybe do like most and commute….there are so many beautiful cities close by that are cheaper …but it sounds like you need to be in California!

As a Vancouverite, I find it weird that some Torontonians claim Toronto to be Hollywood North. Maybe New York North. Vancouver is actually north of Hollywood. Toronto is a lot more east of Hollywood, than north. Toronto has a lot more in common with New York than California. Vancouver at least has similarities. West Coast, for starters.

I think some of these colleges were trying to recruit me when I was looking for masters program in USA. I was smart enough to not fall in the trap, I applied to NYU on my own and got in. The recruiter was trying to fool me to go to some weird college in california in USA. I think it is very easy to fall in the traps of the recruiters because most students and parent know very little about american/canadian school systems.

Singapore is a much more congested place. Real estate prices are on the higher end.\nCanada is a very cold place but in certain states, Canada gives free land to settle immigrants. Plus, as you stay in close proximity of the US with similar timezones. So you can find jobs in American companies. Singapore is from a different timezone and there is very little overlap between California PST and Singapore SGT. \nAs the global warming takes effect, Singapore will sink, while Canada becomes warmer, more natural resources are unlocked in Canada. Not to mention, Singapore is sorrounded by Islamic nations, and there is high probability of terrorism happening in near future as radicalization increases in that region. War is already happening in Burma between Junta and ARSA. And when civil war happens, so happens the in-flux of illegal arms and ammunition. Canada is far far away from these warzones.\nMost people should prefer Canada over Singapore, unless you have any specific ties to South East Asia, like you love the Asian food or you need to stay in close proximity of your family and friends.

The US is worst. But California is nice and our kids will love the transgender education they will be for free.

Come to California the weather is pretty close to Middle East !!

I'll immigrate to Canada from California because of illegal immigrants coming in then, besides I love winter!?
2024-01-12 0
Actually probably the same reason people are leaving California, both Canada and California are run by complete woke idiots.

Ever thought about San Diego, California? \nWe have beautiful Islamic community all over San Diego & we're always welcoming more muslims ☪️ ???☝??♥️

I would stay out of California Governor Newsom - is doing all the interesting things with the education system... also wearing your free Palestine hat in public, makes you a Target... I'm sure you're a perfectly lovely family

People have to stop using rental prices in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. That's like Americans using rental costs in Bel-Air California or Manhattan as an example of what rent costs in America. It's not a realistic portrayal of rental costs. \nHere in Quebec the the annual tax rate is between 26.53% and 53.31%, depending on income. Then you have to consider all the socialist programs that you are forced to pay into, which also sucks up a significant amount on your weekly salary. After that, you must consider that you pay 15% sales tax on almost everything. It's safe to say that half of your yearly earnings, give or take, are taken in taxes and socialized programs. As for salaries, less than 20% of the Canadian population make a 6 figure salary. We're not talking about household income. I am talking about individual income. You're not going to become rich here in Canada! The majority of people who do become rich leave Canada to avoid taxation. Canadians live a life of debt. You will live just balancing your debt to make sure it doesn't get out of control Few Canadians have money in savings without debt. The ones who do have money saved, most of them have debts on top of their savings which is counterproductive in my opinion.

We loved and still love Toronto, and we miss certain aspects of living there. But yeah we did the math and it just didn't work out in our favor to stay there anymore. We looked at my hometown (San Diego, California) and my wife's (Calgary), and went with Calgary. Just put in an offer on an inner-city townhouse in Calgary that would be at least double the price in Toronto. Like I said though, I still miss Toronto a lot.

I am Turkish-Canadian. I don’t practice Islam but I am Muslim. I believe in one god Allah. We left Canada and live in California now. After all these unfairness to Palestine done by USA, I don’t want to live here. My husband is Pakistani-Canadian but he is also not practicing Muslim. We still though feel unfairness to Muslim people here. I believe Canada was a little bit better than USA. I don’t see myself living all of my life in USA. I would love to return to Turkey or live in Dubai. My only concern is my children’s education.

Come to California

I went to Canada to study at Seneca college, long story short it was a ripoff.\n\nAlso the freaking winters are super harsh for students that don’t have a car. It all sounds like sunshine and rainbows when they pitch you about studying in Canada from abroad, but once you get there… holy cow, it goes south really quick.\n\nI went back to Mexico to get my degree instead, now I’m in California living the life. ?

WHEN MY GRANDFATHER AND I CAME BACK FROM CALIFORNIA, SOME 35 YEARS AGO, HE AND I CROSSED THE BORDER, IT WAS A WONDERFUL DAY AND TIME. THAT WAS ABOUT 35 YEARS AGO, COMPARED TO NOW.

I left Canada 2 years ago and moved to California. I lived for 13 years in Mississauga. About Canada: terrible weather, worst drivers, fewer cops to ticket drivers, worst community and University teaching experience. I taught for 13 years in Ontario, and it's all business. Housing is more expensive in Mississauga than a beach house in Orange County. Excellent medical system in Southern California (at least what I have experienced so far with two younger daughters). With year-round great weather and access to high-quality fruits and vegetables, school systems are among the finest in the US. I have not heard a single gunshot in the last 2 years. People are not allowed to take weapons unless concealed with a license.\n\nI would not recommend anyone to settle in Canada. I heard that most immigrants who move to Canada are not well-educated and end up doing blue-collar jobs. Those who are educated are doing under-qualified jobs. A super expensive country with super high vehicle insurance, expensive cell phone and cable plans, and so on. I took a dermatologist appointment for my kid, and it took 6 months in Ontario versus two days in the US. I know it is just my case, but overall, I am very happy that I left Canada.

I’m originally from Kazakhstan but have lived all my adult life in California (21-41) and now considering moving out of state or even country. I do have still another 10 years I need to live here to accomplish a few of my career goals to live more comfortably afterwards, but in a long run this is not a place to live anymore. Even in the past 20 years I’ve lived in California I’ve witnessed economy and the whole family values goes down the drain, more homelessness, less opportunities, people are more selfish, etc. I know it is happening all around the world too but as in this video it was stated, it is much harder for me to be a practicing Muslim in an environment surrounded by non Muslims (no offense) - just the lack of mosques in my vicinity, an Islamic environment for my child, halal foods, etc. There are mosques and halal food, but I have to drive for it. I have wonderful friends, coworkers and neighbors that are non Muslim and super nice and we have great relationships. But there are oftentimes situations when I wish they understood me better like with this situation about Palestine. I think Palestine is the last drop we needed to firmly make the decision to move.

I'm Canadian born and raised. The main problem is too many people are left leaning so we have the same problems as California,to much bureaucracy, high taxes, crime, homelessness, drugs etc that's all a biproduct of liberalism.High taxes are needed to fund left wing policies like the climate scam, giving billions to ukraine, womens groups, gay groups etc the useless bureaucrats have to justify their position so millions of unnecessary and pointless policies are imposed.I'm a welder and the bs you have to go through is so extream many just give up and do something else.As for immigrants it effects them too so we have doctors driving cabs or nurses working at mcdonalds etc these problems really started to be an issue when Canada got progressive in the mid 90s and never recovered.I heard 50k of born and raised Canadians have been leaving every year for the last 3 years with no end in sight. My countrymen need to wake up and dump left wing thinking and bring back the conservatism from the past that built this country or there won't be a Canada.

You should come to South of California, there is a big Muslim community. You are welcome here❤

I moved here from Ontario in 95 , It was very expensive then, nothing has changed other than well the Internet. If you tough it out you will find your way and will be rich!!! California is more expensive but BC is better. Good Luck!

I’m truly happy that you’ve made the decision that is best for your family. I live in California and understand the change in dynamics what aligns with your faith and values. I hope you find a new home soon

So happy for you mashaAllah! My husband and I packed up our life in California and have been traveling the world for 18 months or so. Alhamdulillah, no regrets and living in Muslim countries has been an incredible experience for our kids. May Allah put barakah in this move for you!

Even though I became Muslim only since mid March, I’ve been considering making the Hijra to a Muslim country Insha’Allah. I can’t relate to living in cold weather conditions being in Southern California, but I can relate to everything else. \n\nI’m not married. Insha’Allah one day I will. But I think about the safety my wife will have going out in public in her hijab. Insha’Allah I’ll have kids and I wonder about the indoctrination going on in society. \n\nBut the biggest thing for me is living in the US and knowing that whoever is in charge will endorse genocide. And for a country that prides itself on free speech, yet we see that speech being limited when it comes to standing up for what’s right. I actually had a feeling that was going to be your number one reason before you got to it.\n\nI can’t make this happen right now but Insha’Allah in the next few years, be able to work on it so it can happen.

I'm from Birmingham in England. I was raised in a Christian family, but living in such a diverse city made it easy for me to revert very smoothly to Islam. We have a very strong Muslim community here, with many mosques and schools. I had considered moving to California with my children so I could be with my fiance (who is also Muslim originally from Jordan) but, he will be moving here instead, as he feels like we may not be safe there. I'm so happy for you all, I imagine the children must be so excited ??

California it’s bad too ?
2023-12-25 0
That what happened in California too.

Sounds like Canada is becoming like California. Most people are moving out.

Canada and California are woke and leftist.\nCanada and California are losing people in high numbers.\n\nAny correlation there?

Honestly, most problems in Western countries can easily be solved simply by curbing immigration at this point! Housing crisis in California is similar to housing crisis in Canada, and what’s the cause?? Immigrations and foreign investors. The Chinese people have been buying tons of properties in California to the point that they have priced out all the locals.

Left wing government. Its happening in California, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile and soon Brazil.
