The post-war world order is now over. It's time for Canada to drop out of NATO and NORAD (what is the point of a defensive strategic alliance with the only country in the world that is openly threatening you with annexation?) and expel all American military and government personnel in the country. Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea etc need to form a new strategic and economic bloc oriented toward the goal of breaking America, just as we did with the Soviets when they were the largest threat to global peace and prosperity. Sadly, it is more likely that we will allow the Americans to divide and conquer us... literally!

I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. To impose a carbon tax and further weaker the average Canadian is terrible. There are some policies I don't like out of the U.S. but the reality is that it is never an idea to pick a fight with the toughest kid on the block knowing you will lose. Trump doesn't even want the tariffs he wants Canada to pull it's weight in defense spending and cooperation. Trudeau backstabbed Trump in the past and that won't be forgotten. We need a new government with a leader that understands more than being a drama teacher and snowboarder. Unfortunately, most of the significant issues Canada faces is the result of self inflicted wounds resulting from incompetent leadership. We didn't have anywhere close this level of issues with the Harper government. We are lucky to have the U.S. as a neighbor so let's do what is good for both nations but there is no way the woke Liberal's can do it.

Millionaires and billionaires and the politicians they’ve bought have spent the last 50 years fighting to destroy wages, unions, educational system, acces to healthcare and fought to avoid taxes for themselves leaving ordinary Americans with the bill. Trump is continuing this but more openly and loudly than ever before for all to see. What we in the rest of the western world see as basic rights and essential services is in America seen as “communism” \n\nThe consequences of this is that Americans are suffering and causing a huge demand for drugs both prescription and illegal drugs.\n\nTariffing Mexico and Canada makes no f sense when the peoblem is America and Americans. The only ones who can fix this is America itself.

We did not ask for this economic war nor did we start it. Trump did. \n \nIt's also time to super-tax every pound of US coal being exported through Roberts Bank Super-port in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. The American coal exported through Roberts Bank does not even pay a provincial carbon tax like all BC residents pay. Canadians are about to show Trump what happens when you consistently lie and stab your best customer and neighbour in the back. We are not afraid of Trump. Canada is the second-largest country in the world by land area and we have the longest coastline in the world, with over 243,000 kilometers of shoreline. We will continue expanding our trade with Pacific Rim countries, Europe, Mexico and beyond. They all need and want our lumber, minerals, oil and gas, grass fed beef, and the dependable, respectful trading partner that we are.

The US does not need the canadians. Mexico too. US should be self-sufficient. If the pandemic taught us anything, it is for every country in the world to be self-sufficient.

The invoked reasons to impose tariffs on Canadian goods are BS. Trump needed a reason to use the emergency act. This is just a smoke screen in order to open up a new trade agreement ahead of schedule. If he keeps this up, the whole world will turn against him and the US.

Americans don’t seem to understand that all the “cool things to do and see in the USA” you don’t need to actually live in the USA to enjoy those we can just get on a plane and fly to those places for vacation just like Americans do. Why do those of us on the political left keep allowing those on the political right to dictate the terms of public conversations, even when we have the facts on our side? It is estimated that 1.7% of the world population is biologically intersex. That's roughly the same as the percentage of the world population that is naturally redheaded. Trump's executive order states that the US government only recognizes two biological sexes.  This means that as far as the US government is concerned, biologically intersex people don't exist. This is analogous to having an executive order saying redheads do not exist.  It's nonsense.  So, why aren't biologists from all over the country pointing this out? The percentage of the world population that identifies as transgender is at most 0.6%.  So why are we talking about transgender people when there is a larger group of people that Trump's executive order discriminates against?  Here's why: because folks on the left insist on allowing those on the right to set the terms of almost every debate we have in this country and folks on the right are happy to ignore intersex people (whose existence conclusively establish that their views are false) and those of us on the left stupidly follow their example in doing so. If we are serious about protecting trans people, we need to be smart about this. Let us reframe the public debate to focus on intersex people.  This will make exposing the lunacy of Trump's executive order much easier when engaging a general public that is too ignorant, lazy, and indifferent to educate themselves about trans people. So, let's help out the lazy ignorant masses by adopting a simpler (and more science-based) approach to the debate over whether there are two biological sexes by making the simple, scientifically sound observation that biological sex is bimodal, not a binary.  And not amount of executive orders can ever change that fact.

It is hard to even believe the world has come to such a ridiculous, immoral place... I do not understand how people on the news can even discuss these things with a straight face..... Our president is wealthy.He is powerful.He does not have to do anything for anyone .. And I'm sure with some people coming across the border. There may be a sense of entitlement, but I would think for the majority, it's a sense of hope.\n I wish we could embrace every person. That is good coming across that border with open arms and tell them Hey, it's gonna be all right. It's gonna be okay for you and your family. But unfortunately we can't. It's a hard pill to swallow and it's a final thing to watch. People have to struggle that world is a very cruel place for some. And for others it could be very easy in a sense. I think sometimes we have to have empathy for other people. And if we don't have that we're never gonna grow as a human race. Color should never, ever be a barrier. Language should never be a barrier. The only barrier that we have is hatred and just evil people and good. That is, the barrier that we should be looking at if we ever want to grow into what God created us to be eyes need to be opened. These people aren't coming over here and take what we have. You're coming over here because they want something better for their lives. They have struggled most other lives. I'm sure they have seen death. Famine pestilence, things that we have never seen in this country. Our generation.\n S are spoiled when it comes to things like that. We have to open our eyes a little further broaden. Our horizons and take a look at the situation at hand and not be objective. Be like the men of old and what they were put on this Earth to do is solve problems. There's more important issues in the world than to be worried about confused humans. There are only two genders: males and females. It's already too much that I have to explain to my son why two men were holding hands and kissing. This malarkey needs to be banned. It's confusing to the younger generation. None of it is cool. It's all in the cartoons. It needs to STOP!

I mean I have mixed feelings about the trans movement. But here is how I feel about this subject and always have. There needs to be one standard. It needs to be the highest standard in the world. and if any man, women, or trans person can't hack it then they do not serve. If they can hold up to the standards they should serve. I am a veteran that serve with a group of people in the Navy that demanded the highest standards. I would serve with man, woman, or trans person that can pull their weight. It is their country. Let them serve if they wish.

First let me say that I fully support anyone who is fully physically capable of doing whatever job that they are either enlisted to do or has been assigned to do within the military. \n\nIn a time where special forces doesn't mean bulked up freakishly high endurance or specific physical requirements are necessary.\nSpecial ops nowadays is also about mental acumen and ability to assess the entire picture and it is absolutely well known that certain physical factors are required to be on the front lines but to remove a very capable force that is a force multiplier in a time where it's absolutely needed and cannot be replaced quickly or even adequately is doing a massive disservice to our military and the citizens of this country just for the sake of a small group of individuals with small minds that couldn't step into that vacant position and adequately fill it with the same caliber of talent regardless of how they identify themselves!\nBeing the most lethal fighting military requires many talents and to remove those talents from the soldiers they support is absolutely hurting our military in ways that will take decades to rectify!\nThat soldier on the ground calling in drone strikes to get his or her soldiers out of the danger isn't going to care if they are trans or identify as LGBTQ only that they are able to safeguard their soldiers in whatever way they have been trained to do..\nOur military needs to be the most diverse in order to be the most lethal in the most diverse situations throughout the worlds stages!

India should issue condoms immediately and reduce its population. It's putting a lot of pressure on global immigration lines. If the country can't provide for its citizens with jobs, security and good living conditions it should reduce the population. Most countries including the US will be willing to donate condoms if needed, because it has become a headache to most of the world.

I am just listening to this and as a Canadian I have hundreds of US friends who cannot afford health insurance at all, for others they paying $600 per month plus for insurance with huge copays and very often can’t pay for meds. I think you are truly uninformed on the US healthcare availability. I would think the chances are of walking into an er and being seen in less than 30 mins unless they were in critical condition. The US is one of the unhealthiest nations in the developed world, with a shorter lifeline than most others. Take a look at GoFundMe medical needs and you will be devastated. Do you think American importers will continue to import highly tariffed commodities like bananas and coffee?!
