I'm a latino straight from South America and I'm very happy. I REALLY don't get what you american liberals think of us. The only reason we are willing to leave our countries to live in the US is because you have a country where we can thrive. In order to go to the US, we go through the process and apply for visas and the green card. That's being honest. We don't want the country filled with illegal immigrants who jump the border. We left our countries in an honest way and we want the borders strong, so we can still have a country where we can thrive. Is it really hard for you to understand that? We voted for Trump and we're proud of it, so we don't need your false pitty. You guys don't know reality, you're born in fantasy land and you aren't able to see the basic truth even if it's in front of you.

It is a mix emotion they are desperate to enter in United States, but they need to follow the process .

No process if you enter illegal,you are going to get a happy meal on your way to airport.

If they deport workers from the chicken processing plants and farm workers there will be a lot of hungry people in this country.

The penalty for Illegals should be financial, not removal. I don't think we should limit the number of immigrants, full stop. Yes, they need to get paperwork to be here, and that should be part of the process. If you're illegal, come forward and get the paperwork to be here, then pay restitution by an added 5% tax every year moving forward for every year you were here illegally.\n\nRemoving even 5M undocumented citizens creates an employment vacuum that will hurt our economy. Why hurt our economy when you can boost our economy through billions of extra tax revenue.

Secure the border? Yes. Prioritize deporting those who have committed crimes? Yes. But remember that the American economy relies heavily on foreign labour so the process of dealing with illegal immigrants needs to include dramatically increasing the number of immigration officials to get the productive, employed illegals some kind of legal status. The import tariffs are going to cause inflation. Taking away productive workers will further inflate prices.\n\nThen, of course, there’s the illegal immigrants who are entrepreneurs like Elon Musk. Elon had a student visa to do graduate studies at Stanford but he never signed up for a single course. Instead he created a startup. So he didn’t comply with his student visa and he was working illegally. Quite the hypocrite. Should Elon Musk be deported for his illegal entry back in the 1990s? There’s no evidence he committed any other crimes so perhaps not. But if not, then just treat all the illegals with the same consideration.

The truth is American people already made their division so democrats need to listen to them instead of lecturing them. Our society needs immigrant but our society resource is limited, we can’t accommodate every illegal immigrate without hurting our own communities, especially when so many American citizens are struggling for affordable house and increasing living cost and so many legal immigrants are waiting in the queue many years waiting the government to process their case.

You don’t “stand in line for hours and days” to get a green card. You have a sponsor apply for a visa, wait until you are called for a visa interview. When that gets approved, you come to the US on a flight. Then when eligible, your sponsor files an adjustment of status. That requires another interview, which you are notified of time and date. When that gets approved, your green card can be issued. The green card is then mailed. The process takes years.

Extremely cold hearted and selfish woman. They came for the same reasons you came. The times are desperate; they probably didn’t have the luxury to go through due process as they ran for their lives. The least you could do is EMPATHIZE with your own BLOOD RELATIVES!!!

My question is what about the people who came thru asylum from Mexico and their cases are in process are they going back too?

Why not start a process to make illegal immigrants legal since they are an important part of the workforce?

If they are here illegally, they must go. If they want to become a permanent resident they should leave early and start the legal process to come back.

We can’t save the world ?… there is a process for migration ?…just as ancestors fought wars for democracy —the migrants ought to have gathered their millions and stood for their rights in their country. Their corrupt governments thrive because the “millions” that left did not fight and stay in their lands ?. It seems easier to escape. Trump probably figures he'll use the military to arrest them, build camps & deport them. He also probably figures he can get the Supreme Court to eliminate the due process.

Good luck affording a new roof, hotel room, restaurants, etc. and who does MAGA believe works in food processing? Who are the farm workers, chicken processing workers, meat packing, etc. ? That's right, the price of food will be increasing too.

Mass deportations aren’t happening… illegals are covered by the Bill of Rights. Due process in court now required.

Deporting illegal immigrants isn't as easy as many MAGA fans think it is. Everyone, even illegal immigrants, have the right to due process under the constitution. This means even if you round up illegal immigrants, they have a right to seek relief from deportation in front of an immigration judge, and this process could take several months or even years. Only after this process has been exhausted and an immigration judge gives the green light, can you go ahead and deport.

They're Not entitled to Courts or Due process if they entered illegally .\nThat idea is Null & Void. \nBypass the Red tape & Get them out.!!

A massive shortage of agriculture workers, meat processing plant workers, domestic care, and many other critical parts of the US economy. Go for it, see what happens. Then there's the millions of children who are US citizens, you can't legally deport them, what do you intend to with them? Human right obligation? What about our human rights? They shouldn't have been let into Canada in the first place without due process. They weren't coming in because their country was destroyed. We already had too many homeless citizens here because of Trudeau and the Feds and their policies and mandates, which the people of Canada will change very soon. Why would anyone think Trump cares about ripping families apart? He ripped his first two families apart by cheating on Ivana and then dumped Marla and Tiffany. Surely he could find enough armed Proud Boys etc., have them grab people off the streets, shove them on helicopters that could briefly cross the border at night and force the people off at gunpoint. Stood for hours and days to get your greencard? Never hear about that process. You must be undocumented when you come to the United States. Let be real!

It's the overshadowing attitude: things were very difficult for me so they should be difficult for you too. This idea is unfortunately prevalent for a sector of our population. We need to institute a remain in America policy while we process actual asylum claims. This is an American made problem under the Biden, Harris administration. It should not become our problem under the Trump, Vance administration.\nIMHO

Why do we need detention camps? Once an illegal gets caught by ICE, then bring them directly to the border and just send to the other-side of the border wall. That’s it. If this keeps going on, then numerous illegals will leave the country by their own. Also, ICE should raid the employment companies, stores, gas stations, and all possible illegal employment facilities very frequently to not only catch the illegals but also to charge a big amount of penalties to those employers. This will fund the deportation costs and tightening the illegal surviving in US will diminish this illegal flow. This process happened in past after the twin towers attacks. The republican administration knows very well how to push back the illegals.

It's not that we don't have empathy. It's about many doing the line and due process legally while seeing others cut line illegally in front of you and they are getting lots benefits, free housing, free food and many things that the one thay did everythinf legally dont get. Those that are working and contributing to society and taxes should get references from employers. Hopefully they can fall in line right after those who have legal immigration in process. It’s sad. Go through the normal process like everyone else

This is cruel and beyond that it's economically idiotic. Just wait until your grocery prices go through the roof. Farmers CANNOT find Americans to pick tomatoes, watermelons, etc. etc. American citizens just simply won't do the work.There are countless other industries that use undocumented workers. We are headed for a higher inflation again if this is implemented. How about immigration reform instead? How about work permits? How about paths to citizenship? We need the workers. Our legislators should do their job and come up with immigration reform rather than spend billions rounding up people and hamstringing our economy in the process. Maybe this move along with tariffs will help Americans realize that electing Trump was a mistake.

They should do the ones that entered during Bidens term & 10-12 years should be a statue of limitation. Kids that are born here should stay or have the ability to come back doing a streamline process when here. That sounds fair

I know lots of people here on work visas legally that need jobs. They shouldn’t be cheated by those skipping the visa process!

Listen, if a squirrel is removed for being illegal, and that squirrel is adding abundant joy, it was still murdered. So an illegal immigrant who is a nice neighbor adding something to the community, is still illegal. It’s insulting to legal immigrants who have done the entire process and cost and earned it.
