Why is it that everyone outside of America has an expectation on how we should be that benefits them. This can has been kicked down the road for multiple decades. The waste, fraud, and abuse we are uncovering in the government. The situation with NATO and Ukraine and no one can fix their problems or issues without the US. We have aggressive homelessness, poverty, poor education system, high taxes, and a government that in the past has done nothing but pimp our tax dollars out just for kickbacks. Everyone is pissing and moaning about our domestic problems while also having an extremely high bar on the international stage. I have never received aid from the UN, never receive money from other countries, nor assistance. Is no one in America tired of this? Here we are talking about Bourbon tax….lol. A great reset needs to happen and though I do not like it, it is happening and I am here for it. BTW I love Canada and Mexico and believe at best that if we pull out of NATO I would still hope we can have an Americas/Mexico treaty.

I'd love to think enablers of the current US regime would understand the utter folly of its policies (to dignify them with a label they don't deserve), but I think that's unlikely. If they are religious fanatics, they will martyr themselves to sustain the usurpation of human rights so that their ideologies can remain in place. If they are self-serving oligarchs, they don't care; they've got plenty of money and are poised to make a lot more. If they are clueless, no amount of reason will reach them. Anyone who ever was a victim of bullying understands exactly what is going on and how it will end for those who wants to appease/bend to the bully. Yes, it will be painful for Canada, extremely. But you have to get really sick in order to recover stronger than ever before. Zelensky knew the inner workings of how bullies work so he probably knew the white house meeting won't end cordially especially it is occupied by people he has no love for and he understood the lack of love was mutual. Got bit by a spider and ended up septic. In hospital for two weeks five blood transfusions. Two knee replacements. Hernia surgery. One child and we stayed in hospital three nights because he had a few issues. Went to Detroit for a surgery that wasn’t approved in Canada but Canada paid me back every penny including hotel costs. Out of all of the above I paid zero!!!! I was actually grouchy for only one min cuz I had to pay 20 bucks for the crutches. lol love my country and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I recently watched a You Tube video from a couple, who had never been in Canada, it was quite amazing, think it was called something Southern or so. one of the main things, the gentleman was looking for is they had travelled from the west trough Toronto to the East and threw their arms up, saying, where are all the police, they had only seen 1 cop car in the city on their visit. secondly, he was dissappointed he could see where the hoods were, he wanted to see the Crackheads. (we dont have hoods like they do in the US)., another thing was he was sad because he couldnt find any Moose while they were driving from Niagara Falls to Toronto. My experience as a Canadian as we keep personal political, religious, racist beliefs to ourselves. Americans I found tend to bond to people based on these personal beliefs all too much. Love the diverse culture I live within in Canada. Should review the data on shootings in educational institutions in the US , you might be surprised how many days in a year these shootings do occur.

So being canadian means being white only ? All the Europeans that split tithe USA and some in canada because of their disagreements, that may be the culture of the first settlers yes. This was always going to occur. Shut down the southern border and people will try to get in through the north. As I understand it, we don't have the same deportation laws with Canada as we do with Mexico. This needs to be dealt with and Canada needs to step up. I live in a norther border state and my younger brother died of fentanyl. I am fed up with it. I love Canada and remembering crossing the border without even a passport as a kid, but this is no longer acceptable.

My father was an American, I would never move to the USA . I used to enjoy to visit. However I find today that it is too dangerous. Love coming home to Canada I always makes me want to kiss the ground \n There is just a different level of decency there.\nThe quality of education is so much higher for your children. \nI have many friends who've moved to the states, and at this point they're looking forward to coming back to Canada.

As a US citizen, I am sad for both Canada and the US. We were great allies, and now that is gone. I wanted to move to Nova Scotia and start a new life doing my art and be a part of a culture I love.
