Totally agree with multiculturalism being a serious issue for native Canadians. Why?? Because immigrants are not respecting the values of Canadian forefathers. Canadian food banks and social services are IMO services new immigrants should not be able to access for at least one year in Canada!

Let me make a very serious distinction . Canada is not a monolithic country . The people on the West Coast - British Columbia are culturally very similar to those living in Washington State and Oregon - total left wing granola - flakes and nuts. The Canadians on the East Coast are culturally similar to the US East Coasters- Joe Biden's people . \nThe people on Canada's Prairies - Alberta, Saskatchewan and the west side of Manitoba are similar to the US Midwest all the way down to Texas. Calgary, Alberta where I hail from has the largest annual outdoor rodeo in the world - the Calgary Stampede !. \nWe don't identify with the issues of the rest of Canada - we're Albertan's first and foremost !

My husband has been here since 3 years of age for over 50 years now, I have been here for over 30 years and we are leaving in the next year. We are both dual nationality Canadians and are going back to the UK. Trudeau has totally destroyed this once beautiful country. We grew up here in the 70's and 80's, they were the good old days, that Canada is now gone for good!

Like me, I already want to move back. Canada was overglamorized. I think I'm just gonna finish my post grad work permit and move back home. At least there, housing is still within my reach. It's rare people doesn't own homes. You can grow food in your backyard. Can live without debt in any way if you choose as we dont rely in mortgages and credit cards or credit scores.\n\nCanada is good in pictures, but not totally in real life. And what I realized is every country has issue in corruption, government, capitalism etc. There's no perfect country, might as well, just have an almost perfect life with loved ones.

Fake visitors from sh!thole countries are dropping in Canada and seeking asylum and then lead to taxpayers' welfare handouts. Our immigration system is totally broken. We need quality migrants who can contribute to the Canadaian economy, not the quantity who comes here to live off our taxpayers. Send those back as fast as they came. There are also some criminals, etc. Sliding through this broken system we have. All because of Trudy and his minions running the country to grounds.

sorry for you guys …. but this video is totally mis informative … I have been lived in many countries not only these two countries because of my work… and lived in Australia as well and currently now working in Canada from 1 year .. and trust me I am really regretting my decision to come and work in canada this is not same canada as it was in 2012 when I first came here … Its worst place to move in 2024 … specially low economy and too many desi’s …so now going back to Australia ?? after 2 months.. before moving to any country permanently read statistics do not go as per anyone’s personal experience

So my relations are waiting for a permanent residency in Canada. Has taken way longer than three years, during that time they are no allowed to leave the country. They cannot visit family members even if they are sick or go to a parent’s funeral etc. It is totally outrageous

I have lived in UK, Australia, US and Canada. I spent 2 years in UK, 1 year in Australia then moved to US for my masters where I also worked for 6 years. So total of 8 years in US, I moved to India and had adjustment issues. Then 1.5 year later I moved to Canada as permanent resident. After 2 years, I ended up leaving Canada back to India. Some people suggested wait for another 13 months and return with Canadian citizenship but I had enough. What I have realized is, for tech/scientific roles, Canada or other countries are no match for the US. \nAlso, Americans are much kinder and open than people in Canada/UK/Australia. All these countries are expensive, quality of work and pay is not good. I was getting 150K CAD in Canada, where I pay 2100 CAD as 1 BHK rent. In India, I make 90K CAD and 2 BHK rent is 400 CAD. To me, America has no replacement, that's why people dont want to leave the US. I was not willing to spend whole life waiting for green card, and other countries are no match for US. That's why came back to India fro second time, despite the issues here.

All of Canada is totally fcked, for such a big country they for sure don't have enough real estate for people to live. I remember back in 90's the rent for nice 2 bedroom apt was 400 here in Kitchener, that was 40% of the full time minimum wage at the time, according to same minimum wage percentage now, the 2 bedroom here cost 2500$, so that means that full time earnings at minimum you can't even cover your rent.

I virtually grew up in Australia from school days. I have totally different experience of living in Australia and I once tried to switch to Canada but eventually revert to Australia. Feeling Canada was not for me.

I am glad you are following your heart and your beliefs as parents. I am first generation American of Mexican parents and live in Arizona. I have been told to go back where I came from which is Comical as Az. was México first. I see whats happening their and glad I am here. Vancouver is my home town. I have a pretty good deal where I currently live, but if that changed, quite possibly I'd be looking for a cheaper, more relaxed country to move to. Mexico? Philippines? Not sure, but Canada is kinda fucked these days. Not totally, but in a lot of important ways.

Who is saying they are International Students? Come on. They come to Canada to find a job and settle down in Canada. This is the easiest way for them to come to Canada. That’s the well known secret. Canadian government is also getting Immigrants 500,000 per year. What about the Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents who don’t have jobs? This is totally unfair. It looks like Canada is already corrupt.

I totally agree that this country will break your spine and test your ultimate willpower. Me and my wife came here 5 years back and we decided that we will shut ourselves like a tortoise. Forget about savings and forget about everything else. Only and only one goal we had in mind is that we will live in the basement and earn top dollars. Just to give you a perspective. My first pay was 19 dollar per hour and my current pay is 87 per hour. My wife started with 16.5 per hour and now earning 69 per hour. Even though our income grew substantially, we never raised our expenses. Answer to all problems in Canada is income. Now after 5 years we bought house worth of 1.4 M. We moved out of basement and felt immense pride. We paid 37% down payment and 3 banks approved our mortgages in a heartbeat. No debt at all. We paid up our car in full. Just a regular new suv nothing fancy. \nEveryone is different, we all are unique and I believe you took a right decision. Each and every word you said in the video is true. \nWe cried , we fought , we felt that our life is ruined but we both thought that ek bar to Canada ko harana hai. I made about 65K in 1999. Paid just over 40% in total taxes. Are you sure it's 22K taxes on 100K income? I left Canada a long time ago (not enough jobs, etc. all the reasons you listed, thanks!). Tired of Canada's overly woke politics too :( I used to be progressive, now I'm conservative. I have not changed much in my views, it's just that Canada (mainstream) has shifted so far left :(

When you consider the factors that are causing present conditions in Canada you have to question is the Canadian government simply trying to create a completely impoverished society totally dependent on its government.

I lived in Western Europe, Japan and at the moment, Canada. I lucked out getting a well paying job in Vancouver when I moved back a few years ago and my average tax rate is actually the exact percentage you stated in the video - 28%, which includes income tax, pension and employment insurance. I'm actually doing better in terms of quality of life now but I do miss being able to travel around Europe for cheap. (e.g., quick train ride to Paris for the weekend) Now, I take cheap flights (e.g. Flair Airlines) to Mexico instead.\n\nJust to state some data points: when I was in Europe, I paid a total average of 39% income tax on a lower salary than I have right now in Canada. Things like utilities (e.g., gas/electricity), restaurants, certain grocery items and electronics (e.g., iphone/PS5/computers) were significantly more expensive because European VAT (inclusive) is usually 20%+. \n\nI don't have the exact numbers but on average I believe I was paying 70 - 90€ ($100 - 130 CAD) just for electricity each month for a small flat, but I am now paying $30 - 50 CAD for a decent sized 1 bedroom. I believe my housing gas bill was about the same or possibly a bit more. In addition, automobile gas prices were much higher (about $2€/L on average which is $2.90 CAD/L) and I think they could go even higher right now. \n\nHowever, rent is definitely more expensive in Vancouver, but I believe that is true for many West coast cities in North America. Right now I'm paying $2300 CAD a month for a 1BR, and I split that amount with my partner. In comparison, it would have been about €1300 ($1900 CAD) for something similar in the city where I was living previously. Canada has unlimited immigration. total open door, so we are completely overwhelmed and unable to cope with unfettered population growth, without the infrastructure to handle it. we are in decline and on a path towards a very poor standard of living.

I have moved around the US quite a bit (I've lived in every time zone except Mountain, including Hawaii). Moving to a totally different place is always exciting to me. Even if you eventually find that it is not where you want to stay forever, it is worth the experiences, and the growth you get from having to learn new things. If you are considering the US, some of the things you don't like about Canada, is probably true here as well. It seems like you can probably make more money down here, but the cost of living is still expensive here, and many, many Americans also live paycheck to paycheck. I wish the best for you.

Some times i watch videos on differents experiences others migrants experiencing here Canada and we re on same boat. That s why i also made choice to move out in Colombia on the beach for my retirement.Then im here giving some advise. As immigrant myself, African from Gabon, we experiencing same realities of the West since 10 years now. At some point, i can say there s something broken in this country since last 6-8 years. As you making decision to leave Canada on the reasons you expressed, it is very important for you not be wrong chosing the wrong place again. You need to think about it seriously. Straight, can tell you 100% United states is worse than Canada as Muslim family to live in. You need to read all suggestions given in this Video. As a lot people suggested you in the comments, i totally agree with em that Malaysia, is the Top one based of the reasons you explained why you leaving Canada. Maybe Turkey and UAE as second choice. I am 63 born and raised in Canada all my life and can honestly say that I have never been as embarrassed to be a Canadian since the pandemic where we let millions of immigrants come here take our jobs (with government subsidies) abuse of our free medicare system and have all their family members abuse it. They made housing unaffordable, impose their laws and religion and show total disrespect for Canadian culture. We lost this country to immigrants and corrupt government led by the worst PM in CDN history. It is the political correctness that has really damaged Canada. It used to be a country of people that were liberal and tolerant in the sense of allowing people to live their own lives according to their own believes. Now, there is a strict code of deference to a totalizing ideology of “equity” that is anti-democratic, and intolerant.

I totally agree with your assessment, however this is my home and I will work to make it better. I’ve travelled to other parts of the world and completely understand that Toronto (and for that fact, Canada) is in a declining position, especially when compared to many emerging countries. Canada is suffering because of bad leadership. The government is unable to step in in housing, because that would mean lowering the global value of it. Unable to step in in services, because it is stuck with unions that support laziness instead of competences and performances. Unable to step in in anything because it is controled by a literal mafia that totally surrounded the government and pull the strings of every ministers who are no longer there for the people they represent, but afraid of being killed by those mafiosies. \n\n So the honest worker is mostly doing 32k a year with charges that are about 30k a year. That means most people are going paycheck to paycheck, unable to afford savings, nor think about retirement. Unable to afford to improved their housing situation, paying rent that is so high that it should be consider a crime. \n\nIn fact, i predict many landlord will be killed in the coming years, by people losing their mind, because of incredible amount of stress they are suffering from. You think i am joking? Just the last 2 days, 2 woman lost their life because of being beaten to death by their husband... \n\nThis country is failing and failing fast because it doesn't take care of its population anymore... it is a doom country and immigration was the nail in the coffin. The system is unable to sustain such a demand. The next year is gonna see an incredible rise in criminality, and i foresee mass murdering events, like there was in the US.
