Love it here in Toronto, Im lucky though i dont pay crazy high rent even though im itching to move for some odd reason. Maybe because I know I cant be here forever, I live in an old building that wont last, isnt mine and will be forced to move out when soemoen else buys it, like I was at my previouse apartment, which is my only problem, all he condo development, basically kicking out poorer people, thats why rent is high, but they're going to have to live with no sun in the city when all those towers block it. That being said the areas is just so bueatiful, it feels like its nestled in a forest, then the lake, its a great spot. Got 4 the seasons, i hear ist the most diverse city in the world racially and its climate is just as diverse going from -30 some winters to well above +30 some summers and everything in between. That being said I am getting tired of the city life and looking for a change although i think Toronto has a lot more potential and is actually underrated right now and will just get better. Maybe not more cheaper, but hopefully politicians will wise up and stop selling out for short term profits for long term problems.

If people could just be watching news not just CNN or aljazeera but different global news network as a Kenyan especially on what's going on globally economically wise, disaster wise, pandemic wise meaning COVID-19 wasn't the last one there's another pandemic coming worse than COVID-19 so before you think of relocation think twice or you end up homeless in a foreign country after another lockdown,wars wise, climate change, then you'll not even think of leaving out of Kenya. I once watched a certain documentary last year that's it was about global inflation by few global economy analysts and they said that this global inflation that we are witnessing will go on for over 20 years. So that was their analysis but as you watch the news on what's happening in the world then people should just embrace inflation koz it's here to stay. People should just stop traveling through quack agents but do proper research and travel the safest way.

Too much expectations is bad when moving abroad. Most Kenyans think Money is collected on Streets. It takes 2 to 5yrs to establish. Since you also want to send money home you then have double expenditure. Be wise.

Hello Dear; My fellow Kenyans do research and read a lot about the Laws and policies of that country before you make a step or move; Outside here; No short cart I am in one country in Europe I did my application for self-employment/ work permit/residence permit\nThen I was told to wait for 7 months - to 1 year for my application to be terminated not in Kenyan but in this county I am currently; After waiting for 1 year, I received an email from the embassy that my application was approved to apply again for a VISA to come and collect my ID = Now am legally in Europe I can move anywhere without fear and also can do any business in Schengen Area, I can go to Kenya anytime I want and come back anytime I want, This country is very rich and productive, peaceful, Clean, life affordable government regulates everything, the population is 8.9+, and the services are top class and are among the top in Europe map, however, you shall never here them shouting. Is about being wise and doing due diligence.. as well as calculating and taking your time. Good things don't come when you rush.

I am commenting from Canada and seeing people getting frustrated coming on visitor visa to look for work/convert visa to work permit. Even employers with LMIA approval are asking for work permits. Anyone coming to Canada should preferably secured a job or school before coming here. It is so so so expensive and jobs aren’t easy to get without Canadian credentials or experience . Any Canadian credentials including a certificate will up your game in getting a job. Meanwhile while in school you can now work unlimited hours but ensure you stay in school and finish. Be careful with agents promising jobs . It is hard here but once you get into the system hard & smart work pays. And getting into the system can only be done front door. What one pays an agent for visitor visa, you might as well do a one year certificate that’s approved for post graduate work permit. Less headache and better opportunities. When a deal sounds too good think twice- agents are really smooth talkers and super salespeople from what I’m told by those coming here through them. Be wise….I have no regrets coming here I wish I did it earlier as I’d have gained more through longer school options in my youth ?.

Most of the issues mentioned in the video are common in cities the size of Toronto elsewhere in the western world; I have family/friends all over and they have similar gripes about cities like London, Berlin and NYC. The precipitous decline in the last few years is indeed due to the fall out from COVID, both economy-wise and mental health-wise, and most countries in the world are still recovering from it. It's tough everywhere you look, but I do hope it's a temporary situation that will blow over sooner rather than later. Having said that, one thing that's probably worse in Toronto (and Vancouver) than most cities their size (I know that Toronto is much bigger, but Vancouver is a big city in its own right) is the housing situation, which had already been a problem before COVID in those two cities and it has only gotten worse since so it's now a real crisis that needs the municipal, provincial and federal governments to work together to address ASAP.

Toronto not only remains stuck in time, infrastructure wise, it's also facing a huge cost of living issue. EVERYTHING is going up in price.

But my cousin, who is currently living in Albany, upstate New York, told me not to make the move. If anyone (specially in their 20's and well educated) in India planning to move out of India for better opportunities then they can consider East Asia.\nPros: Safety, Stable economy, less competition (among foreigners for jobs), opportunity to learn new language, Comparatively closer to India both geographically and culture wise (predominantly collectivistic culture compared to individualistic in west)\nCons: Need to learn language (Must) to get the best opportunities and move up the ladder, Food (if you don't know how to cook or adjustment issues with different kind of foods), at start may feel socially isolated due to language and culture barriers.

I have lived in South Korea for about 12 years no any paperwork, Korea is good but paper wise no way and I want to move to countries where I can get my papers also get my passport

This is a never ending perennial controversy. I really cannot understand why he bothered to come to Canada, if things are so good at home. Many people send their children over without having to leave Nigeria (for example, politicians) Some people don't do their research or count the costs before they make the leap, the just follow the bandwagon. Thanks for the very informative video. I just got back from a week in Vancouver and saw so many drug addicts and homeless people when I drove through East Vancouver on my way to Gastown. Years ago when I drove this same area, I didnt see this problem. What the heck happened? Is the U.S. rubbing off in Canada. Crime, drugs, homeless people, and criminals seem to have migrated from the U.S. to Canada. Anyway, I was contemplating buying a house in Coaquitlam and retiring there for 6 months out if every year. Now, my eyes are open to what it would really be like. Still better than the U.S., crime wise, but the prices are high. Gas equivalent was $7.50 PER gallon. Food was more. Walmart was more. Starting January 1, 2023 no foreigner can buy property in Canada for 2 years.

Hello black women living in Leduc Alberta for over 20 year's . I'm from Toronto born in Jamaica . Now look nowhere is perfect there is racism everywhere, i found more in Toronto then Alberta. In Alberta the most problems i have is with dating but work wise i don't get the racism, its opposite. I get jobs because of my skin. I haven't been called the N word in Alberta to my face anyways and in Toronto too many times to count. I personally love Alberta and will probably retire here. I treat everyone i meet with respect and I've been given the same. I really wish that everyone could just get along and stop with the colors of skin BS and just be kind to each other.
