I Don,t think Americans REALIZE what they are doing to THEMSELVES...Trump doesn,t care about you or anyone for that matter. He has his 500 Billion mineral deal eith Ukraine. He forced poor soul, Zelensky to sign this deal today...Just when this Guy is at his most vulnerable situation with Ukraine. So it is all about ??...no one will be saved in the long run...Because there will be NO military back up, if Russia will attack again after all minerals, have been excavated...So Trump is just as evil as his twin-brother Putin.

Why is he acting like Trump has just nuked Canada and going to invade. I think his negative Trump bias is effecting his judgement and behaviour. Instead of doing a media opportunity to show everyone what a good little leader he is and that Trump is a very bad man. Why not try sit-down and have a rational and pragmatic talk and negotiate new trade relations first, instead trying to cause more up-evil and resentment.

While increasing trade import and export with another country we already do business with, making them very happy in the process and still making huge savings in the process. When 80% and 60% of your exports and imports respectively. Consists of literally sharing its only common border with the united states would mean a complete scrap of the total infrastructure since they would hace then compensate through sea and air through the arctic and distances of 10x of what they are used to. Then it starts to make sense as to why trump wants Greenland. I'm in the middle east. My mom was Canadian born and my dad American. I support Canada. Trump is mad cuz he can't take over Canada as the 51st state. Canada has a secure border. I don't know if that is true, but it would explain a lot of why Trump is acting as he does - it is not in the interest of USA, pressurizing/blackmailing/offending/humiliating US allies and destroying US and foreign economies. This is practically enacting a wishlist of foreign dictators like Putin and Xi Chin Ping.\nIt certainly will not make America great again, but poorer, weaker and internationally isolated. it will be US people that will suffer the most.

I am a Canadian. We do not want conflict with USA. What we want is for our new leader to be voted in - and then work things out for trade. President Trump is aware of what we have suffered. When I was living in Vancouver, I (and many ppl) would just drive cross the border to get gas and groceries because it's just much cheaper once you're on US soil.... For years we cannot retain any talents because they would just migrate to the states because the pay is much higher with less taxes. I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. Dear Justin, 75 million Americans voted against Donald Trump in the recent election. We appreciate your speaking directly to us today and in recent speeches you have given. We know what a good ally you have been to the US and we also know your primary concern is to Canadian citizens. While many of us have done what we could do and we also know the current trade arrangement was negotiated with you by Donald Trump in his previous term which leaves many of us scratching our heads. For my part it deeply saddens me that this has happened and all we ask or all that I ask is that you remember those of us who did not vote for this. Slightly less than half of the country. When this is over, and it will end one day we look forward to breaking bread with Canada again.

This means your vote and opinions DO count. I know it is incredibly difficult to reach for and find answers in a world where your president or primary candidate throws 'fake news' in your face on a regular basis. He is actually telling the truth. When he is not telling you is that he is a primary enabler of 'fake news'. To him, only his word is law, only his opinion matters, only he deserves to be on top, and he deserves authority over all of your lives. Do the right thing, we all have a civil duty to understand our candidates to the very best of our ability. When a man has been convicted of dozens of felonies, and we tell you that this is only what we were willing to expose. You may want start believing us. The genuine facts of his past are unilaterally corrupting to our children and good people alike. Do not let the american people repeat their mistakes, force Mr. Trump to atone for his mistakes. No not empower him to sweep them under the rug for the sake of his own arrogance, because that is exactly what he is doing by trying to dismantle the CIA and FBI. These two institutions are shining examples of America's pursuit of freedom and justice. Freedom to keep billionaires from corrupting the morals of our children. Freedom to know that the rule of law is immutable, our constitution is not just a paper with fancy traditional sentiment. Even if the law may sometimes be bent for the sake of decency, forgiveness, and the pursuit of 'united we stand', our constitution cannot. Amendments require the FULL support of nearly all Americans, not 27.5% of unrestricted adults.

I’m an American and I just want to apologize to Canada. You have always been a good neighbor and a friend. You don’t deserve this. The Donald Trump version of America has shown that its treaties and its word are meaningless by betraying its own agreements with you. I am truly sorry. And I urge you to do what you need to do to protect yourself. The truth is that the America we all once knew, the one I grew up in, is gone.

I maybe an ignorant on politics , but what happens when USA , well not USA but the Trump administrations has caused so much damage to the country to the point where other maybe most of his allies start taking responses such as that of Canada , and escalate to the point where perhaps USA lose most of his allies at least important allies such as Canada, the support of the global geopolitics , I Maine that scenario for a moment wouldn't that give Trump an excuse to align even more openly with Putin? I mean why would Trump want that at all who knows but he is certainly aligning with Russia just not openly at least that's what a lot of these decisions he has made recently seem to suggest I mean a lot of the consequences of those decisions and acting really seem to benefit someones agenda and to me a politics ignorant seems to be Putin ... Am I too crazy for thinking and feelings like that???

It only makes sense if you consider that Trump is working for Putin with doing all he can to destroy the U.S. and its allies. It is very obviously what Putin wants. Everything Trump and Musk have been doing has been benefitting Putin.

I support Trump and I support MAGA. However a president needs to keep his word and Trump appears to have broken his word here. He asked Canada to reign in illegal immigration to the US and Canada complied. He said do something about fetanyl and Canada did. Trump said the tariff's were because Canada was not acting on these but now they have and we imposed the tariff's anyway. We look like liars and cheats. \nEven with Mexico we threatened tariffs if they didn't help with crackdown on illegal immigration, fetanyl, and drug cartels. Mexico complied and is also helping us. And we still slapped tariffs on them. We lied to Mexico too. \nAnd now we want everyone to trust us to negotiate a peaceful end to the Ukraine war with Trump threatening more sanctions on China and the EU. What the heck should they trust us and believe us after what we just did. \nWhen it comes to defining your character your willingness to keep your word overrules absolutely everything else. Our president gave his word that if these countries took certain actions there would be no tariffs. They did and now he slapped them both in the face with sanctions anyway. He broke his word. This is a dishonorable action. I hope it does not escalate from there. \nIf it was about promoting or building domestic industries, I think the Canadians could have helped us with that but now.... good luck now that bridge has been burned.
