I’m from Canada originally, a big city on the west side, and growing up the mass migration became a huge issue. There were immigrants from Middle East establishing and taking over whole sections of the city with mosques, their food, shops. That would all be fine but the issue is the cultural mentality that was being imported. My high school was filled with young men. Some of them over 20 but attending my high school and hanging out with young girls. They would establish gangs and get into fights. There was multiple stabbings at that school. At the time I dated men from Pakistan for a while and they would throw trash on the ground out the window, have parties with young girls constantly, get into fights, street race, and just generally be belligerent.

First of all why is she asking people this? As a leader she should know the issues, and have the answers. Obviously she does not know, and should not be the leader/Premier. So she wants to wait another year to have a survey, and then start working on things? That sounds insane to me. With $60 oil, Danielle states Alberta's debt will skyrocket. Oil is heading to $40 per barrel. That's $50 billion dollars more debt PER YEAR than in 2024. When you add on the costs to finance that , you are looking at maybe $70 Billion deficit per year very soon. That is unstainable for such a small population. Then the separatists want to ad at least a trillion dollar loan, to leave Canada and service that debt. Where is all this massive wealth the separatist spew? Then she wants to wait another year for the people to tell her what to do about it. She is totally insane. Danielle, the worst Premiere in Alberta's history. Another survey, and another year wasted while nothing get's done? Please stop blaming everyone else for Alberta's problems. It is getting tiring. Danielle never says much that is correct. Like her ridiculous CPP rebate cheque. The way she calculated that was totally insane. Today she stated Ai would save Alberta's economy. She may not know it but Ai makes almost no jobs. It also needs massive energy and a good power grid, and Alberta's is ancient. That's why she is just a small time TV show host. Then add on all the new federal costs Alberta will have to assume. LNG will be over as BC/Canada will never let Alberta use it's plants, ports, and infrastructure to compete with themselves. If Canada does let a a new Alberta use it's existing pipelines, of course they will not subsidize them any more. They will expect to make a profit from them. So let's say they add on $5.00 more per barrel. Using Danielle's math that would add another $5 Billion annually to Alberta's skyrocketing debt every year. Equalization payments are not really and issue as oil plummets, especially with no LNG Equalization is based on high earnings, as Albertans make more money than everywhere else. If there are no jobs, Alberta may again start to get payments back even. Trump thinks Alberta oil will be good for USA reserves so he can just shut that down for 100 years, so what will that do to Alberta jobs , and deficit. Even you get all of them out, can you fix Alberta problem? The oil industry is already a sunset industry; if they can't manage the economy well, they'll just look for excuses. I grew up in Brampton from 1985 to 2010. I watched it change. Not for the better. I got the hell out there and every time I go back to visit my fam, it's even worse. Almost never seeing any other race but Indian lol. It all has to do with Trudeau's dad designating that city as a go-to place for Indian migrants. The Trudeau's are part of the whole Satanic New World Order, and part of that order is using mass immigration as a weapon to destroy 1st world countries. His father started it back in the 70s. And yeah the driving is absolutely horrible. The car insurance skyrocketed. They destroyed the city I grew up in. It's a shit hole now. Many of them will tell you that India itself is a shit hole, but the more of them that come to Brampton, or wherever, they turn it into India. I don't consider it racism. It's their people but it's not like it's all of them, but it is a lot. From personal observance, they're the most unhygienic people I've ever met, and they love easy jobs the involve scamming others out of money. All of those scam callers are Indian. Nothing else. They have no dignity. No self respect. They just want money and don't care how to get it. I generally don't like them, but it's because of their negative behaviors. There are plenty of other races that come to Canada that people love. Have you ever heard of anyone complain about Filipinos? No. They're loved. They come here and know how to assimilate while keeping their own heritage intact in respect to our own. They're friendly, respectful, hygienic. Indian people just want to come here and make this place Indian and they have tons of kids, so that's exactly what's happening. Brampton was cooked years ago. It's just going to devour itself and fully become an extension of India, and it already has been spreading out from Brampton to the surrounding cities.

The thing that never seems to be brought up is East Indians 80% own houses. They come here and they own houses and have businesses that they ONLY hire East Indians, have East Indian clientele ONLY because they all pay cash so they can circumvent the taxes. In Victoria BC where I live now, it’s gotten so bad that I can’t move out of my house I’ve been in for 4 years cuz I can’t find anything cheaper and this place is a 400sq ft 1 bedroom for $1850 a month. Can’t afford to do anything but survive while the immigrants all live like kings. It all boils down to how the Indians are raised in their own country. They are raised with the individual mentality. Do for yourself, and to hell with the others. Leave it for someone else to take care of. This is why their country is one of the dirtiest in all the world. They use the streets as a garbage can or toilet, then just leave it for someone else to clean it up. But, when everyone is raised with this attitude, there's no one left to clean it up. In India, they have the "untouchables". Yes, the caste system is still operating in India, although it's not recognized by the government. It's the untouchables that are supposed to clean up all the trash and feces off the streets, but they never do. They don't get paid to do it. This is why their trash clean up is so poor as far as having trucks go around and pick it up to take to a landfill. There are very few untouchables and the other people won't work for the trash pick up companies, because they feel it's beneath them. So, they trash their country and instead of cleaning it up, they move to another country to trash it. My brother used to be a truck driver for many years. Every time he saw a truck rolled over on it's side, he'd say "Must have been an Indian", because every rolled over truck he ever saw was driven by someone from India. If you look at videos of the traffic in India, you will see lot of trucks rolled over, and you'll see no one pay attention to stop lights, stop signs and everyone just cuts off everyone. This is the individual idea. I have to get somewhere, so I will cut you off to get there. It's always "Me, me, me". This attitude causes so many wrecks. Westerners have a hard time driving in India because we are all raised with everyone in mind, not just ourselves. We are a community, not an individual. We need to put a big wall around India and stop all airplanes going in and out, so they don't spread their diseased ideals of life and end up ruining another country. Do you know why India doesn't really take military training very seriously? Because no other country wants to invade and have to deal with the clean up. At this point, it's just about impossible to ever clean that country up.

I was born in brampton, lived in cbridge then to b.c.! I will never go back! Heres a fun fact tho, the government opened the flood gate to immigration, red taped housing, started a catch and release program for repeat offenders, even violent ones! And made drugs decriminalised! From what I heard, there was commercials and panphlets all over differnt countries saying come to canada for a better life, its great here! Many came and because of the housing shortage due to the red tape, people were sleeping on the street in front of the government offices! Its also colder then many people that have never experienced could even imagine! Then there starting from the bottom! A chip on there shoulder thinking the gov owes them and do whatever you can to get payed! Hence why there were so many car, jewlery store, liqure store thiefts and break & enters! The cops were literally telling people to keep there car keys near the door so the thiefs can take them with no altercation! I blame turdo and sean fraser! Fun fact, sean fraser was the immagration minister then got cabnet shuffled to housing minister during turdos terms, idk what he is now but i think hes still in cabnet. I try not to be racist but this failed experiment and just plain bad math/out of touch with reality cabinet ministers are litterally making people racist! You should have also inquired about the jobs here too. The stupid liberal government also makes it harder for us Canadians to get jobs. Hell, they buy up all the affordable housing, drive up prices. Turn great communities into shitholes. I didn't even know they had those big statues hanging around the city. I don't ever venture into Brampton anymore, as I don't do service calls or work as a mechanic. I basically got told, without being told they wanted a more diverse field of technicians. Over 12 years of work trying to get my mechanics license and I'm out. Guys can't even diagnose a ground on a vehicle, yet they can get the Red Seal license cause the "translator" gave them all the answers on the test. Lots of them coming over on student visas just to drop out or not go to school completely and take up basic minimum wage jobs from the actual tax payers of our Great? nation. The truck driving is also insane up north, past Thunder Bay. Trucks in ditches every 30-50 km's. Wheels coming off of trucks, turning around on the 2 lane highway in the middle of no where and gets the truck stuck cause they wanted to do a U-turn at 3am on blind corners. We driving our 3/4 ton work trucks have to pass our exits all the time cause they have their feet on the dash tailgating you. 90% of the ones that have come over, have made Canada a worse place to work/live.

I live in Brampton. And all I can say is thanks for visiting and spreading the word on this problem. I was born in Brampton, and my mother tells me about how much it's changed. Many of my friends and family friends have moved to other neighborhoods POST mosques being put up near their homes. And let's not talk about employment and foreign "students". I was lucky to get a job last summer at a family owned small business Ice Cream store right after high school. We even got a review saying we weren't diverse enough despite us being a group of White, East Asian and Black employees lol. And many people say if your not Indian and your getting your drivers test, you go out of Brampton to do the test because you'll likely get discriminated by who is running the test. It's absolutely absurd. It sounds like tin foil hat sh*t, but if you live here like me everything comes full circle. But ofc there are good ones, but they are typically the westernized ones, who have assimilated, they play or watch hockey and have developed a Canadian accent. But the majority haven't assimilated, they are likely first generation, and they do things like stuff 15+ people in one suburban home. And just small things like staring at you in public (idk why their community stares you down), they spit on sidewalks, and they use some crazy a$$ spices when they cook. The smell carries over for blocks and you know your in deep Brampton territory when your driving and that smell of spicy curry hits you and you gotta roll up them windows lol. It's a nasty smell. This mass migration is a huge issue and needs awareness.

I get a lot of mail for my job. Over the past year, all of the delivery guys in my area (Nova Scotia) have slowly been swapped for Indian men. I try to interact with them on friendly terms as I did with all of the folks that used to deliver my packages. They generally completely disregard me, don't look at me, don't smile, act completely aloof and cold, throw the package on my deck, sit in their truck on their phone for 10-15 minutes, and then rip out (generally driving over my grass) and speed down the road texting all the while. It is a drastic, drastic change we are being forced to swallow. I'm sure CBC would call me alt-right just for daring to ponder that fact, but it is the reality of the situation. Gas on the flames of a housing/ inflation crisis. It is absolute unchecked insanity.

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

Hoho do i have a story to tell you. I rented out part of my shop to east indians. Cabinet shop. They had 5 guys. Turned out they were all on student visas but they worked minday to saturday 10 hours a day. Of course none of them went to school instead they tuned in on their phone online to the school and put the phone doen and continued to work. Then i had enough ans kicked them out. Some of those guys didnt even get paid and their boss was just laughing at them. East indians are just as scammy as they are on the phone. Void all active student visas or make them pay a 100k like under trump.

My parents came here more than 20yrs ago. People have to move and adapt to standards. 1. Wear deo, pls. 2. Pray at facilities/home 3. Please stop being so loud in restaurants. 4. Your kids may not run around the restaurant. Tend to them yourself!! 5. Respect one another. This doesn't go out just for the majority, from one country. Today i met horrific British immigrants who let their 6kids run around the restaurant while they talk so loud from the top of their lungs. They made mess all around the table and did not clean any bit. Why do we get worse mannered people?!?

Both Poland and Hungary have said enough. Now the EU is calling them racists. It’s all Indian or Muslim immigration. They don’t immigrate for a better life it’s to take over and it’s millions of fighting g age men too. Our countries are setting up for award, civil wars. France just issued a memo to hospitals to get ready for military mass casualties that will start within 12 months from now. These globalists have been planning this great reset and new world order for many decades. I stared investigating these wicked globalists over a decade ago now. I have all evidence and receipts saved. How do you implode a nation, crash an economy, make citizens reliant on govt for everything… why bring in millions of immigrants and put their needs first. You can go to any city or town in Canada now. It’s hard to find a Canadian working. In Canada we have foreign workers programs that allows businesses to hire foreigners and the liberal federal govt pays 1/3 of these foreigners salaries. So of course any business like retail or restaurant’s biggest overhead is labour costs so if they can save like $6.00 an hour on every employee why wouldn’t they opt in for that. I also did a very deep dive into the voters in Canada. At least 4.5 million out of the 8.5 million voted the Carney liberals got in April 2025 were immigrant votes. I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. As a Canadian, I am so sick and tired of being told that i have this bullshit nonsense, non-existent " white privilege," which is a load of shit. I am terrified for my little girl when it is time for her to get a job because my little girl and I are white, so we are put at the bottom of the list for being employed. I worked since I was 14, (A lot of times evenings and weekends, several times, two jobs)! I am now 63, I got hurt at work! First I had to fight compensation for a year, ZERO $$$! Then I had to apply to get Disability Canada Pension because I can't physically work anymore.. (damaged back, head injury, I have to use a cane and knee braces to walk)! I spent my savings just surviving while being forced to fight for MY money from my own government for 5 years just to get a measly $300. a month! THAT'S IT! Luckily my spouse works , we paid off our house ten years ago! But, we still barely get by! Every person I speak to about my case with the government on the phone, can barely speak English and yell at me or are VERY impatient with me, because I can't understand THEM, they usually hang up! When I ask to please speak to someone IN Canada, they hang up, then I have to wait another hour to talk to someone else! (I went to 4 government funded agencies to see if I could possibly get a job working from home, because I have trouble getting out! All sent me somewhere else! One agency who is supposed to help disabled people in WPG, REES, the agent refused to talk to me or look me in the eye, * he got a supervisor to talk to me! Because he's Muslim and I'm Gay! They were continuously hostile/aggressive towards me without reason??? I volunteer at 2 different food banks , I've met TONS of people who have never worked a day in their lives, their family, parents, grandparents have never worked... EVER! Yet they have brand new trucks??? Still go to food banks? AND, several new Canadians who I've met, have never worked a day in Canada... Some with new cars??? Yet everyone else receives 10 times what I receive to live on??? I PAID TAXES ALL OF MY LIFE! We can't afford a car! Yet... I don't blame them! I would take it they offered! I'm a born and raised Canadian, as well as my husband. Even before our country was completely taken over, employment was hard to come by because of the fw's. 8 years ago, my husband had enough with trying to find a job, he stopped counting at over 450 resumes that were ignored, so he decided that we should start our own company, a small delivery company that 2 years later, we added a safe ride service to (driving drunk people home in their own vehicle). I was the manager of a little pizza place, which was run by immigrants, but good ones. I was hired because my husband approached them about doing deliveries, and they wanted to meet me. I had no idea I was going for an interview but they begged me to work for them, their reason; although they could speak English, they weren't fluent in it, so they wanted an English speaking employee who could easily understand the customer's. Within days, I was promoted to manager, and I loved my job and all of them. They treated everyone with such kindness and generosity. I found out just how much support they got from our government, when I broke down one day because I couldn't afford my prescription. My boss was so confused because he and his family got free prescriptions, dental, eye care, etc and they thought everyone got that. My boss paid for my prescription and actually apologized to me for how our own government treated us. He also showed me that they get $2,500 every 2 weeks, funding to start or buy businesses, but if they don't hire other fw's or immigrants, that funding changes to a grant and they have to pay it back. They are given money for housing, and vehicles. He was pushed out of that business by his 2 partners, and the partner's promised him I would keep my job. That was a complete lie. They stopped putting me on the schedule, claiming financial problems (bs), but hired not one but two new full time immigrant employees. I lost it and quit. Our town isn't that big, and word spread fast, especially when everyone found out that I was still owed over $2,000, which I will never see because no government agency will help me. Their business is actually struggling now and I love that for them. As for my husband and I's business, it's going strong but I came unglued when we recieved a letter from the government "suggesting" that we hire immigrants. I wrote back, telling them in no uncertain terms would that ever happen, and it will be a cold day in hell when one of us steps back so one of the government's favored people can take that money from us because we are the only 2 employees and we're not sacrificing a damn thing for someone who already gets everything.

Here's the root of most of the problems, its gov. policy, you take in a million new people a year, give them everything and your dollar ends up losing value, so even though your working hard, you cannot get ahead in this country. So you end up going into a debt that you can't pay off and the problems increase. Taxes go up value of the dollar keeps going down, so in the end its a no win situation for most of the general population and its the same when you retire, you get an income that's not enough even to pay for rent in the city you were brought up in. This is a very serious problem and gov. does not seem to do anything about it, food banks are overwhelmed along with medical staff, food prices and rents have gone out of sight as far as prices are concerned. We have a national debt that never gets paid and a gov. that spends more money than it takes in in taxes. And a dollar thats going to H in a handbasket. Too much crime, too much violence, too many traffic jams and too much drug use. I have written to this liberal gov. and told them how to fix these problems but they don't listen, their agenda is with the WEF, you will have nothing and you will be happy, right, no. Canada is now a bankrupt country and going to a third world status, I guess you get what you vote for and I did not vote for this gov. to ruin the country. Um so tired of going to a store all immigrants working. Make a phone call it's answered by an immigrant. You can't understand them . I love on ccpd I don't get old age pension yet. I became homeless after spending over 2 months in the ICU of a Toronto hospital barely walking in was taken to a Toronto city shelter and for 5 years I've been in 5 different Toronto shelters in what seemed like a blink of a eye every shelter became 80% north African Muslim men ,they were given cash allowances to buy their own food $80 a day plus welfare cheques once a month boosted up with TTC allowance $157 clothing allowances and yes they were all given money to buy laptops and smart phones apparently so they can keep in touch with their families back in Africa, in the last shelter I stayed in there was only 6 white Canadian born homeless people living there and 94 north Africans whom we started to notice were being housed only to have the next one take up their cott space housed yes and when we started looking into how they were getting housed so fast when we were apparently on a 37,000 name waiting list for housing with our housing workers telling us it will take 10 years if we are lucky then we found out about the secret housing program that these fresh off the boat immigrants were getting market value apartments of their choice you pick the government pays one African we befriended ( he wasn't a believer in Islam shush or they'll kill him) got a 1 bedroom condo apartment over looking Toronto's Island airport $2,700 a month and the government payed for all his furnishings, so now we knew and we approached the on site housing workers asking why we weren't told about COHB at first they tried to deny it existed but researching we had all the information first these COHB forms were to be handed out to those with seniority length of stay so as to cut out on abuse being that they are worth over $250,000 after ten years of paying your rent as in free housing for life , then we discovered the staff were making false entries on our files claiming some of us lost our seniority for fighting claiming we were kicked out for 14 days others for smoking violations what they didn't think we knew was on admission to any shelter you sign a agreement that they are videoing you and keeping a file on you that also stated we are allowed to have up to date copies of our files then during the 2 weeks we were supposedly kicked out we asked for the videos from that period once they realized we had a advocate working for us who a l so supplies lawyers to us should we need so they got caught then management called us all up for a meeting and that's when we hit him with a bombshell yes the shelters are staffed with immigrants from the same African countries this Hoard is coming from and we have a sworn statement saying they are charging $10,000 for these guaranteed housing forms yes $10,000 that's what our none Muslim African shelter friend payed for his form and why he's now living free in easily close to a million dollar condo and believe me the cars parked there show it, ok so after we busted them guess what 6 whites who were all born in Canada and have lived a average of 3.5 years in a shelter all got housed in apartments of our choosing mind we did get ours fully furnished by the government like all these illegal Christian hating islamists get free housing free food free clothing free medical free dental free prescription drugs and a free huge monthly welfare cheque Rebel news please contact us we want every Canadian to know what's going on and how we Canadians are being left out, p.s just go to any money transfer business at the end of the month and you'll see line ups of these north Africans wiring money back to their wives and families even boxing up all the mountains of free clothing sending it to Africa same what they're doing with all the prescription drugs they are getting for free everything is about making money taking taking taking not putting anything back , now I sleep soundly no one stealing my belongings no more catching a different cold every week no more being called a filthy infidel which seems to be their favorite word COHB look that up and if your living paycheck to paycheck working 2 jobs just get to a shelter say one with 94 Africans who will all be housed shortly leaving you the most seniority easy peasy but remember to keep a eye on your file for false entries or borrow $10,000 to buy one

My Granparents, parents, settled the homestead in 1896 near Rossland BC. How it used to work, how things are supposed to work, is the Government serves the needs and demands of the people. The people don't serve the Government nor any Corporation or Public/Private Partnership. This means that the Government doesn't prevent people from doing what they do and they don't use force to extort the fruit of everyone's labor to the point of enslavement. In 1896 and throughout my Grandfather's life from 1902 to 1976, one would do for themselves if they weren't working for someone else. In other words, you found something needed be done, something the community around you required or was lacking, you opened shop and got after it. You can't work today because you require licensing for everything, you require permission for everything, everything is regulated. People have it in their minds that it's so much better today then it was then, that it's "safer". But it's not, that's a lie. My family, although never wealthy, ate good food, always had a roof over their heads, plenty of family around and always had something to do or at least could always find something to work at. Most importantly, they always had hope because they had freedom. No one has any hope anymore and the people coming here aren't just bringing their culture to overtake our culture, they are coming with anger. With envy, resentment and malice. My family didn't come here with those things, they came to Canada with hope and determination to integrate and prosper with freedom. The other side of my family fled Bolshevism when they left Russia and came here and that side had the exact same hope in freedom to work hard and prosper. Now all generational wealth, freedom, prosperity and hope is all but completely stolen. We don't need more regulations. We don't need more benefits. We don't need more Government. We need less, we need it all to go away because I know for a fact, you give people the freedom to go about their lives, the society or community they form, always tends towards peaceful, prosperous organization. You give people the freedom to build and produce and they'll get after it immediately and that opens the door for all other manner of trades and skills that just fill any hole in a community or society. And that's a fact about the organizational tendencies of human beings. There's nothing stopping us from providing for ourselves but a cartel Government in the business of extortion and human enslavement. They foment chaos and division in order to justify the revoking of more freedoms to enslave more people. People themselves, they look to get along, get to work, raise families and, as best they can, enjoy life. Once we start expecting a Government to take care of us we've institutionalized prisoners who have lost all human dignity. When you "buy in" to all the rhetoric of so called autonomy, ask yourself, how autonomous are you without a family? Just because you're alone in a box in a city, stacked one on top of the other, weighted down by a landslide of rules, collecting benefits from the Government, doesn't make you autonomous. People say, "no one can afford a family". Yet those coming in have large families and they seem to be making out just fine. It's the brainwashing of our culture that set us up. Over time we've convinced the proper way to do things is everyone to grow up and go their own way, leaving each other relying on benefits from the government in old age or illness or whatever calamity might strike in life. There's always something that comes along. With family you have human resource, a plethora of skills and you have your "insurance", free of extortion. Everything that comes from a government is conditional and sooner or later their conditions rule over our condition, even though it's our labor that provides for them. The answer isn't more benefits, as I've said. The answer is simply less government, so we can all get to the business of providing for ourselves and helping our communities prosper. We need to do this with family because alone, we are all isolated and powerless. No one stands alone and a house divided cannot stand.

Canada has known for decades that we have put too many eggs in one basket - selling our resources primarily to the USA. We've had tariffs before and worked with them. Yet we still keep selling to the USA. This time is different. In conjunction with the tariffs, we have an American administration that is flat out insulting Canada. We need to get our AB-BC pipeline finished as well as the new sea terminal so we can ship our crude oil and natural gas to Japan and if need be, to China. We finally need to get out pipeline to the Atlantic coast finished so we can supply the UK and EU with our products. We need to double our rail capacity for shipping potash, uranium, rare minerals to Asia or Europe. Just as Trump hopes for a golden age of American companies coming home and building new plants in the USA, this will be a golden decade for Canada to create transportation corridors to get our resources to other buyers. America will have to look elsewhere for his raw materials. And we all know what that is - RUSSIA. They've already offered their rare minerals and crude oil. Americans obviously didn’t understand what tariffs are, didn’t get that it’s an import tax which they must pay on goods and products they buy from Canada, a tax which tRump collects from Americans and uses to pay for tax-cuts for the richest citizens. But one more thing Americans don’t get is that before this fateful day an unofficial boycott against ALL US goods has been growing since tRump insulted Canada’s Prime Minister and threatened Canada’s sovereignty—whereas Canada’s official countervails ( which only kicked-in today )only target certain US goods, not ALL of them like ordinary Canadians are doing in growing numbers right now—in fact, the imposition of tRump’s tariffs today has only made the unofficial boycott bigger and more organized. It’s heartening that so many nations have solicited Canada, offering alternative sources for common US exports to Canada —citrus fruits, pharmaceuticals, and other manufactures, to name a few.\n\nI don’t think Canadians even realize how big this unofficial boycott is getting because it’s growing so fast. I’ve never seen a surge in Canadian patriotism like this. Never in my seven decades —which includes the two Referenda on Quebec separation. And there’s a federal election approaching when all partisans will be one-upping each other in the patriotism department—which manifests in more boycotts of US goods and hospitality services.\n\n Americans should know that the unofficial boycott is more harmful to US exporters than the official targeted countervails because it features immediate and longterm diminishment of Canadian purchases of US goods—all retailers know it’s very hard to recover lost customers once they’ve found alternatives (and the added patriotic effect only makes it worse). Included is diminishment of Canadian visits to the USA. Indeed, the internet is replete with testimonies of Canadian”snow birds” not only forgoing their annual sojourn in the Florida or Arizona sunshine but also of selling their properties there with the parting shot, “I will never vacation in the US again!” Already Mexico has seen its visits from Canadians (who have had a modest presence in Mexico for years) surge to unprecedented levels. I know from much-welcomed temp Mexican construction workers in BC (where I live) that they view Canadians completely differently from our mutual US neighbours—and now that affection is growing like never before. \n\nI’m continually amazed at how uninformed Americans are about tariffs—and misinformed by tRump and his goofy, preposterous, and ridiculous fantasy of world-domination. When tRump uses the lame excuse to implement emergency powers —that Canada is “allowing” (as Vance puts it) fentanyl to “pour into the USA”—it’s tantamount to saying Ukraine started the war with Russia. The man is a tendentious liar and narcissistic megalomaniac. \n\nI have faith that the great nation of the USA will reject tRump’s crazy policies—we all just have to hang on and let the needless suffering for both our nations (and the world with regard strategic alliances) play out until he either relents, is swamped in legal repercussions, is impeached, or otherwise removed from office!\n\nGood luck my American and Ukrainian friends!
