Honestly as an Indian (tamil-nadu) I genuinely don't think anything Tyler does is racist. I am an international student in canada doing hons finance and doing my cfa this sem. do I think all indians are bad.. no not at all, but the ones that push their religion on others are most definetly bad and lack at civic sense. Punjabis get a lot of hate cuz 70% of them faked their student visas and got here, same goes for any tamil and indian or any country YOU CANNOT DO SOMETHING ILLEGALY THEN DEMAND TO BE TREATED THE SAME AS A LEGAL CIVILLIAN. and then there are people with no civic sense. it is wild

I feel this video does cover what's happening but don't answer the question why its happening. Here's what i think- To start with - A major population of indian immigrants in Canada come from two provinces/states - Punjab and Gujarat. From Punjab - Most of the population who migrates to Canada are villagers. They are notoriously famous in Punjab cities as well for creating trouble. They have no civic sense, always getting involved in illegal stuff, some use drugs, no etiquettes, poor hygiene and very arrogant sometimes. Another thing, Canadian government over the years stopped taking in-person interviews and got lenient with rules for gaining a visa especially for students which doesn't make sense and one should be catious so of what kind of people they are letting in their country. This leads to letting in a bunch of wrong people who are already a troublemaker in Punjab and then represents a bad of side of Indians. A side note - Every Indian province is very very different and not all people are same in India. It's definitely a shit situation which shows Canadian government definitely needed a better way to handle immigration. A lot of international students has been exploited by the system as well if you get to know from there point of view as well. Seeing the thumbnail and title of this video shows what kind of a person Tyler is. Without a proper research and understanding, he just made a video to appease people who hates on Indians. Title says Invasion, is he for real? I see way more Chinese immigrants here in Canada than any other nationality. Punjabi Indians are to be blamed as for creating a bad picture for themselves but hating on whole country without knowing them feels prejudiced. I hope whoever is reading to really open their eyes and understands that this is a government failure for not having strict rules and regulations. Indians have been immigrating to Canada for more than 100 years but you see them as a problem now due to last 8 years of bad decisions. Last thing, you see more Indians in Tim Hortons and mock them, is that a bad thing on loving and supporting a Canadian brand? Definitely poor english speaking employees is a problem, but that is a management issue. You don't like it, have a word with the Manager if they don't act on it, then I guess they don't really care for your opinion. Its on you now whether you want your coffee or better english 😂

My major problem is not that we have Indians here my major problem is that they don't have any Civic sense and they bring their own Civic sense of India over here being aggressive angry no customer service no niceness no please or thank you they get mad and angry very fast they shout and yell at you this scam they close the doors of a store before they're supposed to LOL that happened so many times it's just nasty and very disgusting I have seen some really disgusting s*** and retail stores including coffee shops

If you go to Canada, you will mostly see Punjabi people there. I don’t know why Punjabi people have become so obsessed with Canada. They mostly refer to going to Canada. They don’t even work properly or look for jobs in India; they just prefer going to Canada. I don’t know what kind of jobs they get there. Some of them go there depending on relatives, and some go illegally, which is completely wrong. Because I want to say one true thing about Indian people: there is very little civic sense in India. Yes, if they belong to the upper class, then they may have some civic sense, but in the lower and middle class, civic sense is very low. That’s why wherever they go, they behave the same way they think, without caring that they are in another country. They don’t care about respecting that country or adjusting to its culture. Instead, they try to impose their own culture everywhere. They want to create their own space everywhere and put their own things everywhere. But if foreigners come to India and live here permanently, they just do their work and live normally. Even if they do something publicly to promote their own culture, Indians will immediately go against them. But I haven’t seen the same reaction outside. People there should also oppose this; otherwise, Indians will really spread everywhere in the same way.

Y'all as an Indian I am extremely sorry for the lack of civic sense we export throughout the world. But, I can't ignore the blatant racism in the comments. Every country has it's spectrum of people. India unfortunately has the problematic one's more than the unproblematic one's. I would implore you guys to visit upstate Gurugram, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and the north east. Listen , Canada wants to be an independent country, with a slogan like “Buy Canadian, Build Canadian.” For that, it needs talent from Europe and Asia as well. I am an Indian and I would say Canada belongs to white people, and we should respect their social values. Canadians dont let Canada to turn into Punjab India or into any other country. Canada has a great culture. I see this video as an Indian living happily in India. My neighbourhood is as clean as any Western nation's, if not better. The civic sense is improving (still a way to go). I hope Canadians get to live the way they want.

Only my heritage is Indian (4th generation in Australia - my great grandparents came here) so obviously I present as one. Of course every South Asian person I meet despises FOBs because they're literally the problem for all of this. Lack of assimilation, lack of civic sense, lack of fucking common sense. Of course this makes my blood boil. But what I'm genuinely tired of? The endless discrimination. India does suck as a country, and its peoples are largely lacking civic sense, racist, elitist, insular, hypocritical, and antisocial. This is all true. But not all of them are this way, and their economic boon and low rate of crime makes them a choice import compared to other ethnic groups, if we are talking macro scale. In particular, Islamic and Middle Eastern, followed by African, Southeast Asian, Chinese, and Latino immigrants are bigger issues.

In India, education and civic sense are still a threshold to be met at par standards- then there's oecd lvl which is above the avg standard😅. - Early immigrants were merely functionally literate...though managed being less in numbers. But today Why don't these 1st world countries set criteria for visa just like a strict driving licence which includes more than basic English, how to stand in a line, how to throw garbage in the bin, where to park your vehicle, no loud music, and no public processions if they don't relate to host country. It would have worked fine. Then there's fugitives being granted refuge in UK and Canada. How can they expect social order with ageing demographics?!

I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

It really isn't civic sense that's causing these refusals. It's the fraudulent documents that Indians submit. I am studying in Australia and majority of my class mates are Indians, Pakistani and Nepali. And more than half of them can't even speak decent English but their IELTS scores are all above 7. Academic misconduct, particularly buying assignments from a 3rd party, is highest among them. And also, these people are lucky that ChatGPT is there.

What Mrs.Palki Sharma won't talk about is that there are mass number of Indians abroad who find it very difficult finding jobs & there is also a rise in the issues of civic sense amongst many Indians abroad. Just because we're the 5th largest economy doesn't mean we out right deserve visas. Even those countries cannot afford everyone. The immigration policies of Western nations have actually become quite a burden for them, there's nothing wrong with restrictions, they're not rejecting everyone.

Most Indians going abroad behave like monkeys on the loose. The lack of civic sense and their entitlement is what makes Indians face hostility around the world. Its very necessary to impose strict rules within India against such people and education system needs to bring changes into the curriculum, incorporating habits of public cleanliness and respect for public property.

India should reciprocate the visa policy. While many Indians certainly lack civic sense, most white people & media going to India love to show how poor, smelly & dirty it is, rarely showing the good side. Like how they have declared a beautiful n vibrant country like Mexico, a dangerous place run by cartels ?

First ask people to stop going to other countries illegally. Second teach civic sense, it's not fun going to some place just to watch some random desi spit gutka on the street.
