Trump has been effective with the southern border, but we never hear about our (USA) northern border, which is 3 times the size of its southern counterpart and apparently recognized as the LONGEST International border IN the WORLD! It makes sense for smugglers to use a different means for entry once the previous method gets controlled. I hope the US government is paying attention and doesn’t turn a blind eye to our northern border like they did with our Mexican border.

As a Mexican man, I must say this is the kind of speech I like to hear from a leader. Such a great selection of words, diplomatic and strong at the same time.\n From this side of the continent, the response of Mrs. president Sheinbaum was a little more cautious, at times lukewarm. She said countermeasures will be taken, but they will be announced next Sunday at the Zócalo, the central plaza here in Mexico City, which she asked people to crowd. \n We're definitely living hard times. The only thing I hope is this political hatred does not reflect on the common people when treating their foreign fellows. We are allies, not enemies.

Mr. Trudeau, As an American who has never voted for Trump, I apologize for the person we currently have in the White House, and wish Canada and Mexico the best. Do what you have to do, and hopefully it will cause enough disruption that Trump will have to retreat. Most of us consider Canadians and Mexicans our friends. A lot of people in the US are contacting our representatives in Congress, participating in economic boycotts, and joining groups like the ACLU that are bringing lawsuits against some of the actions that have already occurred. Remember when this same fellow froze protesters bank accounts and began collecting peoples weapons? Yet, he has the gull to talk about dictators. Trump actually wants to avoid WWIII and I hope what his administration does will bring an end to the war. Though, I do agree he should be more tough on Putin. That being said, I do agree that the crossings from Canada are not nearly as significant as compared to our southern border. It would be nice to see more from Canada in their investments to secure the border and stop crossings, cartel movements, and drug operations. The US has spent more than 409 billion since 2003 on such operations. Regardless, I feel for you Canadians and it sucks that it has come to this and I hope we keep strong relations in the future. Hopefully we can come to a fair deal soon. Mexico and China are the big players that do not do nearly enough to prevent these crimes. In fact, the Mexican government helps the cartels by not trying to stop them. China's lack of regulation on the ingredients to make fentanyl contribute to a large extent to this tragedy as well.

As a Mexican, i hope that the TMEC between our countries is still in place, in spite of the US abandonment. US trade with Mexico in 2024 was 840 billion and with Canada 762 Billion. US is turning its back on its closest allies.

It’s number five in the world for importing the exporting Number one is the USA ?? . I just wanna let that sink in. I really do hope that President Trump and the president of Mexico I hope they both come to an agreement because it will not be beneficial for both parties. At least the one who’s gonna fill it. The most will be US. It’s just gonna force Mexico to look elsewhere not to mention Mexico was back by the US dollar to an extent, and it also has the back of the euro force along with the Chinese currency Mexico forced to be reckoned with not to mention all the car companies that are being Located in Mexico cars that enter in and exit Mexico in the car market not to mention Mexico now has the biggest cobalt mining probably in the world if I’m not mistaken Mexico is now in demand. McDonalds something most American people know …for one person only it can be around 15 - 20 bucks, in Venezuela, and I think minimum wage rn is around 6.15 bucks and if it’s good it can be around 20 - 30 A MONTH, now apply this formula to EVERYTHING, housing, bills, expenses and I think things in Venezuela for a little bit better not that long ago,so it was worst than what I just told you, imagine you finish college you have somehow of a decent life and for things you don’t understand and no one advise you of, next week your job, money is not even half of the value it had last week, imagine if it was you and your family, your kids…I don’t have kids but I know my mom would’ve done anything for trying and give me not even a luxurious life, but a kinda decent life, and I know most of people would’ve done the same, and not only for your kids, also your mom, dad, sisters, brothers and even YOURSELF…again, I’m not saying this is correct or it’s not I’m just saying at the end our surrounding make us do whatever we are doing….I get you not being okay with this, but try to be comprensible and not go straight into hate for this people. \n\nUnfortunately I wouldn’t imagine anything to solve this problem and I hope something better comes for the entire world right now …but I just doubt it…

As a person with Mexican heritage and born as an American, I feel that having secure borders is critical to Americans survival, it’s very difficult to differentiate those who want a better life to those that have bad intentions.
